Are you a fan of kim kardashian-west's red hair? There have been many hair changes in Lockdown, since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic. While many have been experimenting with at home cuts (much to the dismay of the pros) and fun wash-in/wash-out colour Kim Kardashian-West has revealed a vibrant new colour on her Instagram crediting her super-stylist Chris Appleton for achieving the new look. The star took to her Instagram page to debut her red hue last week. It's the first time she has experimented with such a bright red but as quickly as she posted, just days later she wrote on the social media app that she is ready to go back to brunette. Hairdresser, Chris Appleton, who created the look for Kim K was quick to jump in on his own Instagram profile to tell fans, despite the Kardashian family's love for trying new hair through wigs, this is in fact Kim's real hair. "Whatever you think of Kim Kardashian, she’s certainly not afraid to play around with colours and textures," says Warren Boodaghian head of technical for HOB Academy. "Not totally sure this red tone suits her skin tone, but it makes a change from her platinum blonde days," Warren continues. "Red is a great colour but it’s important to get the tone correct - it’s the ideal shade for brunettes to try something different and can can depth and dimension." https://www.instagram.com/p/CCCDQXyhVCp/ For anyone anticipating clients requesting this vibe, taking brunette's to red isn't tricky, especially if the hair pulls to the warmer side. "It’s the ideal shade for brunettes to try something different and can have depth and dimension," comments Warren. "However, red does require a strict at-home regime using the correct colour protection shampoo and conditioner to keep it looking vibrant and avoiding colour fade." And what can you do while they are in your char? "In the salon, offer a backwash treatment such as Olaplex to restore strength and suppleness into the hair so the colour stays vibrant and shiny for longer.”
