Charity in scotland raises over £6,900 for the hairdressers’ charity The annual charity Golf Day in Scotland helped to raise almost £7000 on the day. The even was supported and attended by hair industry golfers and a number of companies. In fact, 30 hair industry golfers from a mix of hair salons and distributors played in support of The Hairdressers’ charity. The industry’s official charity gained over £6,900 from the annual Golf Day fundraiser. Dalmahoy Golf Course hosted the event once again. It was led by committee member Peter Belcher with the support from the event’s main sponsor, OSMO. Peter, organiser and charity supporter, comments: “We had a great turn out this year as we continue to raise awareness of The Hairdressers’ Charity and funds for hairdressers in need. It’s a great location to play golf and everyone involved enjoyed both playing whilst raising money for this worthwhile cause.” In order to raise more funds for the charity, the golf holes across the course on the day were sponsored. The main sponsors were Hairdressers Journal International, Peter Belcher, Phlilip Rogers, Rainbow Room, Hair & Beauty World, Charlie Miller, UNITE, Creightons, AJC93 and Alan Howard. To celebrate the end of the successful event on the course, guests enjoyed a three-course meal and a raffle that includes prizes of an overnight stay at Dalmohoy Hotel and Country Club, as well as electrical from ghd and golf shop vouchers. Finally, the OSMO team gifted guests a goody bag.

The winners on the day were:

Longest Drive: John O’Rourke Nearest the Pin: Graeme Thomson Winning Team: ghd Individual Overall Winner: Wayne Blackburn
