Hairdressers charity golf day raises £8,000 More than 50 golfers, from a mixture of hair salons, manufacturers and distributors, used their golf clubs to support the industry’s official charity, The Hairdressers Charity (THC) and help to raise more than £8,000 for the annual Golf Day fundraiser. The day was held in the famous Gleneagles course and organised by THC committee member Peter Belcher, with the support from event sponsor, Osmo. The winners on the day were: Individual Winner – Gary Barker of UNITE Team Winners – UNITE Longest Drive – Scott McGeoch Nearest Pin – Scott McIntosh After a hard day’s golfing, the guests were treated to a three-course meal and charity auction and raffle including prizes such as a Gleneagles Four Ball, an Apple Watch donated by Sally Services, two tickets to the British Hairdressing Business Awards given by Hairdressers Journal and a golf day at the Belfry courtesy of Wella Professionals. Guests were also treated to a goody bag kindly donated by the UNITE team.
