Ironically the biggest hair trend this fashion week wasn't from the catwalk Fashion Week, or shall we say month, is a great opportunity to see what trends we can expect to see in the upcoming season and this February's offering of fashion frenzy has not disappointed so far. However when it comes to hair trends, arguably the biggest one was spotted on the streets outside the show as every fashion fan worth their salt was sporting hair accessories of some kind. It's a trend that we saw trickling in from seasons past from the likes of Ashley Williams and her highly-coveted hair pins and now; alice bands, barrettes and hair slides are all key players in hair trends for 2019.

Can you benefit from this trend in salon?

Well, in a word, yes. In fact savvy salons are already profiting from this hot trend by stocking coveted hair accessories and selling it into their clients' look. https://www.instagram.com/p/BqxuU1vH5ck/ Syd Hayes, session stylist and backstage regular pre-empted this trend and created his own range of accessories, starting with the #SydPin and most recently added the #Sydçuff to the range. "Accessories have always added finishing touches to outfits, so it makes sense that it does the same thing to your hair," says Syd. "Hair accessories are definitely on the up, and becoming more readily available in salons, especially statement pieces like my own accessories. The #SydPin and #SydCuff for example are available in some of London’s coolest salons, including Hershesons and Josh Wood." Will you be buying into the trend this year?
