Osmo announces new technical advisor OSMO has announced the appointment of its new technical advisor, Kelly Shone-Adams. In the new role as OSMO's technical advisor, Kelly will help manage the OSMO IKON closed Facebook group, alongside OSMO ambassador Adele Clarke. Kelly will also host live social media technical education sessions and will deliver OSMO IKON educational courses to a selection of OSMO key distributors. Kelly is the owner of Technocracy Hair salon in Neath, Port Talbo, and has over 28 years’ experience in hairdressing and colouring. “I opened my salon almost four years ago, but the salon name was one I thought of during my early YTS training days," said Kelly. "It means ‘an elite group of experts in their field’ and is the perfect  name for a hair salon. It’s unique and stand out – just like me,” she explained. Kelly’s career has seen her not only excel in hairdressing, but as an educator too. With recognised teaching qualifications in Level 1, 2 and 3 plus D32/33 assessor credentials too, Kelly has been educating her peers for five years both locally and nationally. Her new role with OSMO will enable her to further share her passion and experience for education. Kelly has been recognised with numerous awards for her business and creative acumen. From Good Salon Guide ‘Nations Favourite Hairdresser’ award to winning The Salon Awards, ‘Best Salon: Wales’, ‘Best Customer Experience: Wales’, ‘Best Colour Salon: Wales’, and ‘Best Colourist: Wales’ in both 2020 and 2021, Kelly and her team have set the creative bar high. Kelly’s expertise continues with regular appearances at industry exhibitions including Salon International, Pro Hair Live, and Colour World. “I’ve such a passion for our craft. I’ve loved it from day one and really enjoy how every day is different, plus how you meet such interesting and inspiring people. As an educator, it’s important to not only share my knowledge but learn from others too," said Kelly. "Working with OSMO will be a great opportunity to grow my skills and expand my hairdressing network. Having trained in the traditional school of cutting and colouring, I’ve ensured my skills are constantly developed and strongly believe that when you create a new look, all elements of the hair style must tie together to create an outstanding overall look." She added: "I love hair, especially seeing beautiful hair that has real experience shining through. OSMO products really consider the hairdresser’s needs to enable us to create stunning results, which stood out to me when I started using the brand in my salon." OSMO brand manager, Sinéad McLaughlin added: “Kelly’s experience within the industry both creatively and educationally was a real stand out point for us. We’ve been aware of her work for some time through social media interactions and using our products in her salon. This is an exciting time for the OSMO family and it’s great that Kelly is part of the team now. 2022 will see a big focus on education both digitally and within our distributor locations and Kelly will be an integral part of this direction."
