The build of salon international has begun.....

8am this morning and the lorries were at the doors to ExCeL London where they were ready to start the load in and build for what looks set to be a huge celebration of all things hair this weekend.

From 9.30am on Saturday, Salon International 2011 will be opening its doors to welcome the hairdressing industry from the UK and around the globe to a mecca of all things hair-related; from combs and dryers to wet products, colour, electricals and salon furniture - this is the place to look, try and buy.

With lighting rigs being hoisted, banners hung and mains pulled through the floor, I am as excited now as I was all those years ago (you can guess how many!!) when I first worked at the event. For lots more information, visit www.salonexhibitions.co.uk
