Male grooming statistics: 57% use six products or more male-grooming-statisticsMale grooming statistics released today have revealed that men are taking over the bathroom cabinet, with some admitting to as many as 15 essential products for daily use. The poll, by money-saving site NetVoucherCodes.co.uk, revealed that the majority of men quizzed (57%) used between six and ten items per day - including shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, shower gel, shave gel, shave balm, aftershave and hair styling product. A quarter of men grilled in the male grooming statistics survey claimed to use between 11 and 15 items every day, with an impressive seven per cent admitting that they used more than 16 products to get their look each morning. Out of the products used, shampoo came out on top as the one product that they couldn't live without. When quizzed further as to why they invest in so many products, 44% revealed that they simply wanted to look their best. Just under a third (32%) revealed that their partners encouraged them and 13% claimed that they were inspired by celebrities like David Beckham, Joey Essex and David Gandy. One respondent said: "I sometimes surprise myself by how many grooming products I have but I do use them all. The ones for my hair are essential otherwise it would look a complete mess. Over the last couple of years I’ve started to look after my skin too – I almost have as many products as my girlfriend for my skincare regime." Commenting on the findings Sheriff Mehmet, of Envy Barbers and Envy Barbering Education in London and Essex, Said: "The Male grooming market has changed dramatically in recent years. Looking good can mean feeling good and it is undeniable men have become more interested in taking care of their appearance than ever before. For many men this is a daily ritual. The male grooming market is booming with new products hitting the shelves every week. In my Envy Barbers shops there is a growing clientele who will specifically buy the latest products for their hair as well as skin. As the market for men's grooming is ever changing we have found our clients want the latest look to go with these products."
