Lino carbosiero awarded mbe in new year's honours list

Lino Carbosiero of Daniel Galvin salon in Marylebone, London, has been awarded an MBE for services to hairdressing. In his 30-year career, Lino has built up an enviable client list of leading names including Sir Paul McCartney, Adele and the Osbournes. More recently, he has made a name for himself as Prime Minister David Cameron's hairdresser. Lino is based at Daniel Galvin - who has an OBE himself. He was awarded his MBE for his dedication to raising the standard of hairdressing, including supporting the campaign for State Registration of hairdressers. He has also dedicated much of his life to charity work, including raising £25,000 by running the London Marathon in 2005. Lino told the Daily Mail: "There are no checks or exams at the moment. I want young hairdressers taught in the proper way and to get a qualification that’s recognised. It’s more than just standing behind a chair and chatting."
