While Hollywood stars wowed in the style stakes at the Golden Globes, it was the turn of British small screen celebrities to fly the fashionable flag at the National TV Awards. And surprisingly they came out with a plethora of sophisticated looks. Gone was the WAG-look of boobs, bums and bad hair to be replaced with understated and simple styling. One of the most popular looks - as seen on Myleene Klass, Eastenders Charlie Brooks and Tiana Benjamin - was long hair gently placed over one shoulder with soft waves hanging loose round the face. Another popular look was feminine updos, with Amanda Holden taking the top gong for an uber-feminine asymmetric side bun decorated with bejwelled slides. Worthy of any A-lister. It will be interesting to see if the theme for femininity and simple styles carries on at next months's Oscars.
