Britain's best wet shaving barber announced Britain's Best Wet Shaving Barber Luigi Caterino, of The Italian Job barbershop in Galashiels has been named Britain’s Best Wet Shaving Barber 2015. Luigi faced seven other regional winners from across the UK at the grand final, impressing industry-renowned judges Gary Machin, Patrick Brien and Gareth Clark with his impeccable skills to prove that he really is a cut above the rest. The competition, run by the British Barbers’ Association and premium men’s grooming brand The Bluebeards Revenge, culminated in the final, which took place in inside a boxing ring at the first ever Barber UK event. Luigi said that he was over the moon with his win. “I can’t believe it, I’m absolutely blown away. I made it as far as the semis last year, and I’ve been putting in the hours over the past twelve months to try and improve in any way that I could. It seems that it did the job – I keep having to pinch myself to remind myself that it’s not a dream! This has been a life-changing experience for me, and I cannot think of anything that would make me happier.” Nick Gibbens, marketing manager for The Bluebeards Revenge, said: “Luigi has put absolutely everything he’s got into the competition, and he makes a truly deserving winner. It’s great to see how far he has come since competing in the semis last year.” galleryWidgetDec14
