Wella Professionals has teamed up with creative talent from the London College of Fashion for a fantastic graduate show, demonstrating the inexplicable link between hair and fashion.
The show, held at the warehouse-style Flower Cellars venue in Covent Garden, was watched over by supermodel Erin O'Connor, while fellow model Jade Parfitt presented awards to the students of the year.
As the students sent their creations to the catwalk, it was over to a hair team, led by HJ's British Hairdresser of the Year, Akin Konizi, to style the locks.
And the team, that also included Eirik Thorsen from hob salons, Heidi Davidson from Marc Antoni and Tassilia Varda from Michael Van Clarke, came up with a look that epitomised the mood of the collections.
Female models took to the catwalk sporting centre-parted, natural looking, romantic lengths with subtle shine that complemented the giant rose design dresses from Cicy Xiaoshu Zhao, Avengers-style, block dresses from Alizija Aputyte and tailoring with a twist from Yun Jeony Yang.
The men took to the catwalk with classic short-back-and sides with length through the top for a traditional yet modern feel.
With the show successfully over, it was time for the serious business of the awards. The three winning students were Alicija Aputyte for Fashion and Textiles collection, Alex Rosenwald for Design and Technology and the prestigious Collection of the Year went to Hoi Lam Wong.
