NHF Appoint Art Team Creative Director

Charlie-Taylor.jpgThe National Hairdressers’ Federation have appointed Charlie Taylor, as the 2008 Creative Director for the NHF Art Team.

Charlie, winner of the NHF’s Celebrity Hairdresser of the Year 2007 and a member of the British Hairdressing Hall of Fame, is the first ever Creative Director since the team's formation over five years ago.

Working alongside the team’s Art Team Director, Wendy Cummins, Charlie will be mentoring and educating the ten strong team in a number of activities.

"As an educator, it is really nice for me to work with new people," says Charlie. " To pass on my experience to others is always extremely satisfying; when you are involved in a team you immediately establish a learning environment, where all members of that team gain a huge amount from each other."

"I believe that it is really important for the NHF to establish an Art Team outside of its competition arena to firstly raise the profile of the NHF, and also to ensure it keeps bang up to date with modern techniques and possibly being ahead of the game. It’s going to be a really great year working with the team!"

Charlie will be working with the Art Team throughout the year in a number of activities including their hair trend collections for spring/summer and autumn/winter, presenting seminars at the NHF Conference later in the year, and also heading up the team on stage at Salon International.

The first activity will be an Art Team meeting where Charlie and Wendy will encourage the team to produce moodboard ideas for the first shoot of the year, network with one another, and encourage the team’s creative abilities to shine.
