I've been back in training for three weeks now and everything is coming along really well. I did have a bit of a reminder of the importance of doing things by the book a couple of weeks back, though.
There were a group of Forresters trainees being assessed on our blow dries. For training you are taught to divide the hair into four cutting sections and work from the bottom up, incorporating the sides as you go.
However, I'd been on a product knowledge course at Tigi during the summer and had been shown to take the water out, then push it forward from the crown to get maximum root lift.
I - along with all the other juniors - went for that approach and we worked all the way up the back, isolating the sides.
Afterwards we were told that we should have divided it into perfect, clean sections instead. At least now I know that's the way I'll need to blow dry hair for any assessments in the future.

Pop diva Kele Le Roc sparkled in silver at the launch of the 'ELEMENTS' look-book at London's trendy Paper nightclub.

The 48-page book, which was inspired by the periodic table of elements, is the brain child of some of London's most innovative fashion minds.
It features hair from some of the capital's top hairstylists, including Trevor Sorbie, Andrew Barton and Claudio Contrasti and also contains a DVD documenting 'the making of ELEMENTS'.

I fear that all the hard work has taken its toll and I'm going to have to be pushed onto the stage at Salon in a wheelchair.
On Saturday, I fainted and collapsed while I was out running. I picked myself up and limped home; had a bath, a glass of wine and some dinner and went to bed thinking I'd be fine in the morning.
I was mistaken! When I woke up I couldn't put my foot down on the floor.
A friend took me up to A&E, where they did all sorts of tests because I had fainted. They said I was over-worked and over-stressed but in otherwise perfect health - apart for my ankle, which I have broken.
I now have a cast from my toe to my knee and am on crutches for the next six weeks, but it won't stop me going about my business, including fulfilling trips to New York, Rome and Asia. I'm just taking it very slowly and everyone has been really understanding.

Last night I had the great pleasure of going to the Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show at The Grosvenor House Hotel. What a night- it was sensational.
I was invited as a guest of Sassoon Professional who were working backstage all day ensuring the models had fabulous hair.
There were plenty of celebrities to spot, including Geri Halliwell, David Walliams and Lisa Snowden.

There is only one place to be over the weekend of 13-15 October - ExCel London for the three-day event that is Salon International.
With the Hair Show, Salon Live Shows, Salon Seminars, and Salon Business Extra - not to mention all the fun of Trend Vision, the Alternative Hair Show and the Goldwell Rockmantic Party - there won't be a dull moment.
But if you're taking time out from the exhibition or have some free time, there's no excuse for failing to the most of London and all the its multi-cultural delights.
As we countdown to the big weekend, we'll have suggestions for how you can get the most out of the capital. We've already suggested the best places for shopping and next in the series are the best places for a bite to eat.

In the salon, we're starting to see people changing their look for winter. There’s lots of chat about people going dark, although most people seem to want to cling on to the blonde for one more appointment.

We're also starting to see a shift away from the 'Posh' style to an even shorter, choppier, more edgy style. Jenna, our Style Director has gone for it and the clients are starting to follow suit.
Short hair is definitely the trend at the moment.

I spent Sunday at a stunning hotel in the middle of the Hampshire coutryside for the first Kerastase Business Forum.
I joined more than 50 top hairdressers and salon owners to see speakers including Newby Hands from Harpers Bazaar and Jack Mitchell from US department store Mitchells & Richards give inspirational talks on customer service, motivating staff and building your brand.
Jack Mitchell has been named as one of the most inspiring business leaders in the US, so I asked him, who inspires him. "Tony Blair," Jack said. "He was the most charismatic person I have ever met. The glint in his eyes and his smile could command respect from a room full of hard-nosed business people."
For more inspiring events, make sure you head to Salon International this weekend. And if you see me make sure you say hello! ruth@HJi x

Men’s hair is more varied and exciting than ever, with floppy fringes, long and textured looks, and Elvis-influenced quiffs set.
“Anything goes these days! With men’s hairstyles you can either go long and textured or really short, both can be very fashionable. All the latest trends resemble the classic men’s haircuts of the past, but have been retouched using more textures and colour combinations to bring the look up to date. The latest trends are far from boring.”
Claudio Contrasti, Contrasti, London

“Men’s hair is still in two main specific genres for autumn/winter. Firstly, you have the geek chic look which has been made popular by celebs such as Mika and Take That – this is a soft grunge look utilising natural movement and wave, using heavy grown-out layers hugging the face. This grown-out look is still hot.
Secondly, you have the tailored, quiffed looks of the 40s and 50s. The neat, short back and sides with intricate barbering techniques have made a massive impact on catwalk shows, but also incorporate heavy fringes for an 80s rock influence.”
Tim Scott-Wright, Lisa Shepherd, Kidderminster
“In the coming months we’ll be looking to Elvis for inspiration having seen an increase in demand for 50s-influenced, barbered styles with strong perimeters. Clients are moving away from dandy, dishevelled looks, preferring instead a high-shine finish, rockabilly quiffs and side partings. Colour is going darker with the overall effect looking subtle, but strong and not as contrasting as blonde highlights. Catwalk inspiration comes from haircuts featured in the autumn/winter 2007 collections by Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Calvin Klein.”
Sara Elhaj and Abbey Cooper, Toni & Guy Guildford, Winners L’Oréal Men’s Image 2007
“The preppy look, complete with its floppy fringes and loose edges, is a very cool, very versatile style right now. Men’s fashion has become infinitely more feminised and softer hairstyles really suit this mood; you can easily work the style to look casual or dressed. The putties and gums that are now on the market are perfect for creating body and shape, while maintaining a ‘done, but undone’ style – you can be on-trend without being a fashion victim, something most men are concerned about with their hair.”
Louis Byrne, Brooks & Brooks, London, HJ’s 2006 Men’s Hairdresser of the Year

Afro hair will comprise a variety of styles and shades this season, with texture, curls and concave bobs all featuring.
Here, top Afro specialists give their trend predictions.
"Afro hair this autumn/winter will be really exciting. Dynamic cuts with a hint of catwalk wave will dominate this year. For cuts, look out for fringes, especially blunt ones. Asymmetrical shapes will make a big comeback too, while colourists should look at warm, plum shades"
Errol Douglas, Errol Douglas, London
"Autumn will continue to see lots of defined and individualistic shapes, as worn by the beautiful singing sensation Rihanna, and kick-started by Victoria Beckham's dramatic haircut earlier in 2007. Sexy concave bobs with lots of texture, characterised by razor-cutting techniques, will be the ones to watch for this autumn."
Harriet Kessie, Harriet Kessie salon, London
"Lighter hues are on the autumn menu, with natural browns and beiges shining through. Stealing inspiration from Mary J Blige and Beyoncé, these sandy, sahara shades are the glamorous option that will make your clients look like international superstars. Asymmetric cuts, such as Kelis', have been big, with isolated areas of hair used as a focal point. Texture, like crimping and waves, has also filtered down from the catwalks to put an end to the poker-straight look."
Michelle Louise Sultan, senior stylist from Hype Coiffure, London
"Classic chic styles are trendy at the moment. Soft looks with lots of movement and gorgeous waves are going to be particularly popular this season. Alternatively, neat structured bobs with clean lines will also appear - revitalising and tidying up the sun-scorched locks left over from the summer"
Renda Attia at Steven Carey Hair, London

It's certainly been a rocky road for Mel B since she rose to fame with the Spice Girls.
But through the marriages, the divorce, the pregnancies, the Eddie Murphy saga and the splits with record companies, one thing has remained constant: her glossy locks.

Now we can't make up our mind whether Mel's style still has Girl Power or whether Scary is in need of a re-vamp. So we thought we'd ask the experts...

It’s funny how you notice real cycles in the salon. At the moment, we’re in one of the quieter ones.
That means that everyone is holding out until a bit closer to Christmas before their next appointment – I guess you could call it the calm before the storm!
It’s not that it is empty, there is just a steady stream of people coming in rather than the constant flow that we’re used to. There’s still plenty for me to do, though.
Besides my training has stepped up a notch, so some down-time to do things like watching training DVDs is much appreciated.

I am angry and fed up of having this ridiculous pot on my leg - and I've still got another five weeks stuck on these crutches.
It is so frustrating. I generally live my life at a million miles an hour (AND LOVE THAT!) so only being able to go at five miles an hour feels like I'm in stand-still.
You just don't realise how difficult it is to get round without the full use of your limbs and it has certainly made me see things from a different perspective.

As a newcomer to the industry, this is my first time at Salon International and so far all I can say is WOW!!!
There really is so much going on. In the space of a thirty second wander and a pirouette or two, I've been able to catch a glance of demos on the Tigi, Great Lengths and Habia stands - more specifics to follow later.
I've already clocked the back massagers and earmarked them for a visit on Monday afternoon!

This is seriously hot off the press! I've just come from the Toni & Guy show at Salon Live and it really was sensational.
Colour was a major focus for this show, with very wiggy, surreal, artificial shades. Colours were filtered together using a lot of freehand techniques and the pallet was as vast as it gets!

If you're wondering whether Andrew Barton was pushed onto the stage for the unveiling of the Saks Art Team Indulgence collection, then the answer is no.
He walked onto the stage on his crutches, but he did have a member of the team behind him armed with a chair that he could present from.

As for the collection, it consists of four looks for girls and for two guys and, as the Indulgence name suggests, is sheer decadence, sophistication and up-town glitz.

This afternoon, I went along to see the Alfaparf Milano presents Mahogany seminar, where they revealed their new Cube Esque Collection.
The cuts are all based on L-shape angles and square sections that interlock, but what most caught my eye was the great colour palette.
From Violet reds and tangerine orange through to icy blondes fused with pinky tones, Mahogany made great use of the entire spectrum.
But forget highlights or full-head tints; intricate, detailed and highly sophisticated colouring is what the latest collection is all about.
There's also a real move away from the flat hair of previous seasons to a much more texturised look. As always, you'll be able to read more about it in HJ.
It's been a great day and I've really enjoyed seeing all the new trends. I'll let you know more as I see it tommorow - and if you see me, don't forget to say hello!

I've just come out of the Patrick Cameron live show and along with hundreds of hairdressers, am inspired and excited about long hair. With long hair coming into fashion for spring/summer 08, Patrick demonstrated six updos for straight, texture and curls. As he danced around his model the international audience whooped in delight as, with a pin and dishevelled ponytail, he sewed it into the hair to create a voluminous textured updo. Simplicity is key was the message and Patrick created an array of looks from his Red Carpet collection, which oozed glamour, sophistication and A-list status. He really is the meastro of long hair -- I'm going home to try them on my daughter!! Ruth@HJix

I spent most of the day yesterday judging the UK final of the Wella Professionals Trend Vision. Twenty eight under 30-year-olds recreated their interpretation of one of the 2007 trends, in a bid to represent their country at the international final in two weeks time. Last night saw the winner announced at a dinner which was brilliantly hosted by TV heart throb Vernon Kay. A catwalk presentation saw the Best of British, 28 hairdressers presented stunning models ranging from couture to avant garde and the downright beautiful. Emma Hodgkins from Toni & Guy, Chelsea, won the UK Final award with a fabulous interpretation of Sensual Intrigue. She will now represent the UK at the international final in Barcelona -- good luck Emma. Ruth@HJi x

If the crowds are anything to go by, then extensions are back in a big way!
Be it Hairaisers, Racoon, Great Lengths or Balmain, there is a constant swarm of people watching the long and glamourous creations.

Extensions have had a hard time recently, with the debates about ethics and potential damage to the hair, but the business is clearly fighting back.
The Great Lengths stand has virgin hair from India on display to help put the skeptics' minds at rest; the Hairaisers stand showed that if you want to achieve the high maintenance glamour look then there's no better way than with extensions; while Balmain were demonstrating their pret-a-porter look, which promise glamour in an instant.

Of all the funky and fabulous stands on display at Salon, one of the most eye-catching is that of Wella Professional (pictured below).
Throughout the exhibition, it plays host to inspiring shows from Angel, Ishoka and hob among others.
But the whole experience proved too much for one of the models for the Marc Antoni show. Just as they were about to step out on the catwalk one of the girls showcasing the 'Couture Allure' look took a turn for the worse.

Among all of the stylish, slick and inspiring shows at Salon International, one of the more fascinating was that of Tigi's Inspirational Youth.
While it may have lacked the polish of some of the shows from more rehearsed, more experienced hairdressers; it showed that the future of the industry is in safe hands.
From very commercial looks, adding modern twists to classic shapes such as dark glossy bobs and long cascading curls, to more editorial looks, with teased out crimping and high volume to the fore, it was a completely on-trend collection.

It's day three of Salon International - and one hairdresser has described it as like being in the Big Brother house.
And the task for the day: see as many shows as possible.
And walking round the Hair Hall there are so many inspirational shows to watch it's like being a kid in a sweet shop! But there are trends emerging on a variety of stages - crimping seems to be making a comeback, but unlike in the 80s, this time round it's softer, more feminine.
Extensions are peeking out of short hair, adding different tones of blonde, brunettes or reds, and while straight hair is making a comeback, this time it's combined with movement and volume.
Can't stop, Aveda are offering relaxing massages and my feet are killing me -- I've got a heartbeat in my feet so I'm going to spend 10 minutes being pampered!

I've just come out of the Mahogany live show where Richard Thompson and his team presented their Parallel Universe collection.
This was the first UK show the team did in association with Alfaparf Milano, and the hair and colours were stunning.
From fiery reds to velvety chocolate browns, the team transformed models using inspiration from architecture.

With Amy Winehouse bringing back the beehive, the team added slight volume at the crown - a trend to watch out for.
With loud music pumping and the team cutting into the hair, it was an energy packed show that opened the third day of Salon International.

From her flowing, highlighted extensions to today’s sexy short style, the looks Ben Cooke creates for Victoria Beckham lead to thousands of women following suit, and grab front page headlines around the world.
In between transatlantic trips and running his Lockonego salon in London’s Kings Road, Ben made time to tell HJ how it all started, and how it feels to be one of the most-watched hairdressers in the business.

I recently had the chance to try out Revlon Professional's new 'Revlonissimo' permanent colour range at Claudio Contrasti's London Salon.
The range uses Nano molecular technology (NMT) that reduces active ingredients to infinitely small particles without modifying their initial properties.
The new technology means that due to their microscopic size, they now penetrate the hair shaft deeply and rapidly.
After a brief chat with Claudio, we decided that it was time for a change - what better reason than summer turning into autumn for me to get rid of my mousey brown and replace it with a vibrant red/mahogany tone?
The Revlonissmo he applied was bright fire-engine red and I'm not ashamed to admit that I was uttetly terrified of quite what I had agreed to. However, there was no need for the drama because the paint-pot colour was rinsed of to reveal exactly what I had had in mind.
Revlonissmo promises a natural texture, a beautiful glossy look, easy styling effect, silky feel and deep intense color from roots to ends which will last longer than ever before.
I can tell you that my hair has been much more manageable than before and I'll leave you to judge the other claims from the before and after photos below.

From styling Kylie's hair to filming underwater shoots with Keira Knightley, there are some pretty amazing jobs in the industry.
A selection of hairdressers recall their most memorable opportunities.
![]() | Michael Barnes, Michael Barnes Hairdressing, London
“My favourite job so far has to be the underwater collection I did with Keira Knightley. It had everything I could want in a photoshoot: a beautiful model, a great concept, a great team and a great location – we used the underwater stage at Pinewood Studios where some of the James Bond films are shot.
“Keira was lovely and looked incredible in the Jenny Packham dresses the stylist provided, along with £500,000 of Bulgari jewellery. “It was also the busiest shoot I’ve been on with two behind-the-scenes film crews documenting the day. The shoot went really well and we got six great shots that have been published worldwide. “I’ve since worked with Lily Cole, Tamzin Outhwaite, Sophie Anderton and on Living tv’s show Britain’s Next Top Model. That shoot definitely opened some doors for me.” |
![]() | Mark Woolley, Saks, Brighton “Mine has to be that very first day, when I was just 15 years old, and I’d started work as a Saturday assistant at Saks Hair & Beauty, Darlington. "Within a few hours I realised that this was the career for me. I could tell it was going to give me everything I needed to be both successful and creative. “Since then, I’ve gone on to seize opportunities to satisfy my goals – from opening my first salon at 21, to presenting on stage and winning industry awards. That day was the first day of my future.” |
![]() | Lisa Whiteman, Webster Whiteman, London
“My best job came out of the blue. I was busy working in the Far East and took a holiday to Australia. A couple I was staying with had their own salon. They had been asked to do a shoot but weren’t available, so they recommended their stylist friend from London – me! “The shoot took place on Bondi Beach, Sydney. It was such a contrast from the bustling, fast-paced city life that I was used to in Japan – and was worlds apart from working in a stuffy studio in London. To be on one of the world’s most famous beaches at sunrise, finishing off the models’ looks I had created in the salon earlier that morning was an incredible feeling. “It was such a perfect location, the people were fantastic and I got to have my work published in one of Australia’s top glossy magazines. It was a dream job come true.” |
![]() | Josh Wood, realhair, London “I am lucky to have a fantastic job and an extremely successful salon with passionate and dedicated staff. However, if I had to choose the best element of my job, it would have to be working with certain clients. “I have known and worked with Kylie Minogue for a number of years and during those years have changed her hair colour many times. In the early 90s I coloured her hair bright red and then a couple of years later she adopted the sultry Brigitte Bardot-look. "The opportunity to work with someone at that level and have the confidence to give someone a major change is fantastic and something that I’ll always appreciate and enjoy doing.” |
![]() | Richard Ward, Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa, London “My most memorable hairdressing moment was flying to New York to do my first collection of pictures for HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year Awards. "Working with an amazing photographer in a foreign country is always an inspiration, but I was overwhelmed seeing such fresh talent at the casting. "The models were superb and it was so refreshing to work with some professional, different girls. I was thrilled with the pictures – the shoot took me to a different level and I started to develop a passion for photography because of it.” |

Sharp fringes, long hair, quiffs, structured movement -- these were all in abundance on the Fashion Rocks catwalk at the weekend.
Rock chicks and women who mean business walked along to the hits of top bands including Razorlight, Joss Stone and Timbaland in a star-studded event.
And it was a great opportunity to see some of the new trends on show. See www.osoyou.com/FashionRocks for photos.
But we have gone one better --- to see these and more trends for spring/summer 08 we have a special Fashion supplement coming out this Friday.
It was exciting to put together and hopefully will inspire you to create the looks for your clients. Ruth@HJi x

All the hard work paid off and I was really pleased with the Saks show at Salon International. The team were on fire and it was great to showcase our Indulgence collection.

It was really exciting to get some wonderful feedback from our British and International friends and press and hopefully it will generate lots of positive coverage of the collection.
As for me, there was no way I wouldn't be at Salon, but I felt a bit impaired by my leg. It was uncomfortable throughout and it was a case of having to grin and bear it a little.
I certainly couldn't be as animated or flexible as I would usually be during a show, but my assistant Matt was an absolute star and he was hanging on every second waiting for me to fall off the chair I was perched on.

Paul Falltrick, founder of Falltricks Hairdressing, reveals the essential items he always carries with him.

For Organisation
Every event in my life is in my tan Mulberry Filofax, which I’ve had for more than 15 years. Diary appointments, contacts and project ideas all go in there. It contains my life.
For staying in Touch
I always carry my Nokia N95 mobile, with internet access, and when I travel I take my laptop. Both contain pictures of my collections and of my family. It’s like taking a bit of home with me.
For Styling
I generally carry Matrix Dirty Trix Messy Matte Clay, which I can use on all hair types to create distressed styles with flexible hold. And I often use it on myself too.
For Inspiration
My bag is always full of images I’ve ripped from magazines. I don’t have a favourite source as I tend to scan through magazines and rip out the shots that grab my attention.
For Work
I always have at least 20 pairs of scissors with me of various lengths and angles – from Kasho and Revolve, and six different-sized combs. I also carry a ruler, for measuring hair.
For Me
My favourite fragrance is Estée Lauder’s Pleasures for Men and Risqué Homem men’s nail polish gives my nails an oiled look.
For Luck
I always carry something from my daughter, Isabella, which she puts in my bag to surprise me. At the moment it’s Snow White’s dress from one of her toys.
For Reminders
Coloured pens are a must – and I always have two with me for making notes. I use red if it’s important.

Following on from the success of the Naked Hairdressers Calendars, comes the new Cutting Edge Cook Book in aid of the Hair & Beauty Benevolent (HABB).
Such is the support for the charity that even the prospect of donning chef’s whites and creating their own recipe for the book wasn’t enough to put some of the industry’s leading hairdressers off supporting a good cause!
"I think we have a duty of care to give something back to our great industry and it’s always a pleasure to support our own charity – even if it does mean cooking rather than cutting!" says Richard Ward, resident hairdresser for LK Today and Susannah and Trinny Undress.
Recipes featured in the book range from the Queen of Colour, Jo Hansford’s delicious ‘Hansford Fishy Pie’, Richard Ward’s ‘Richard’s Supreme Chicken’, Andrew Barton’s ‘Barton’s Borsch’, Errol Douglas ‘Errol’s Mussels’, Phil Smith's ‘Phil’s Cheeky Breast’ and other mouth watering dishes.
Cutting Edge Cooks is available for just £3 plus p+p and all the proceeds from the sales will be donated to HABB thanks to the books sponsor, Goldwell
So you can have your taste buds tantalised with 13 scrummy recipes created by some of the nation's most talented hairdressers; do your bit for a good cause and all for a fraction of the price of your normal cook books!

This weekend I'm off to Rome for a sell-out show. It is our first presentation of the Saks Indulgence collection for L'Oreal so it is all very exciting!
The whole weekend should be a lot of fun, as L'Oreal are taking a group of hairdressers from England over to the Italian capital. It's a chance for them to get together, out of their own environment, and there will be a big party!
Our Shows Director Tracey Gallagher is already out in Rome, preparing for the show and making sure that everything goes smoothly on the day.
Tracey is like my left arm. She coordinates most of the shows and seminars we do and I don't know what I'd do without her.
We've been working together for about six years and we have a strong creative bond.
She really understands what I'm trying to achieve and sometimes she challenges me - which is invaluable. I don't have all the answers and sometimes you have to look at things with a fresh pair of eyes - I completely trust Tracey's so that makes life so much easier.

When the Celebrity Scissorhands hair and beauty Academy opened its doors last year it had the potential to be real car-crash television.
Nine celebrities more at home on the television or in a recording studio were given four weeks of intense training and let loose on the general public's hair to help raise money for Children in Need.

But under the stewardship of National Hairdressing Federation Hairdresser of the Year 2006 Lee Stafford the celebrities, especially star of the show 80s icon Steve Strange, excelled all expectations of them.
Not surprisingly, the hugely popular show is back for a second series and one man who had no doubts that he wanted to be a part of it again was Academy Manager Lee Stafford.
"When they asked me to be involved again, I didn't have to think about it for a second," says Lee. "I had the time of my life last year. I have always fancied doing a reality TV show and this is perfect for me.
"It is something I love and something I am good at and I was the boss! It is a showcase of what I am about. It is long hours and it means spending lots of time in the salon, but this isn't work - it's play!"

I spent last night with 2,500 hairdressers in Barcelona to see who would be crowned winner of 2007 Wella Professionals Trend Vision.
Competing against 53 countries, Emma Hodgkins from Toni & Guy Chelsea, flew the UK flag with her interpretation of the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Sensual Intrigue trend and was hugely popular with the audience.
Her look was stunning and we all felt immensley proud as the audience cheered and jostled for photographs of the beautiful model.
Unfortunately she didn't win -- that accolade went to Korea, but the UK hairdressers won the award for most hardcore partygoers, drinking and dancing into the early hours. Ruth@HJi x

I've been on a bit of a learning curve, since I spoke to you last. First I had a model requesting a Tigi cut that I'd only got limited knowledge of and then I had to do my best to salavage a real bodge-job.
Both were really good experience, but obviously I needed a watchful eye over my shoulder and the odd word of advice to help me get them right.
The Tigi cut was a spikey look with short choppy layers that was really texturised and wispy at the back. Before I started, I got a briefing from a senior member of the team and as I got to the more complicated bit, he had to talk me through it and put in the first guideline for me to follow.

I watched BBC's Dragon's Den on Monday and saw Shaun P who presented his Tangle Teezer , the comb he invented to make brushing tangles easier. Like many inventors, the Dragon's laid into his claims and his inventions, and while he appeared nervous, he obviously knew what he was talking about and the business he is in. The Dragon's didn't invest but Shaun has proved he doesn't need the Dragons and went on to exhibit the Tangle Teezer at Salon International. But one question remains unanswered: Dragon Deborah Meaden claimed her hair was natural and had never been coloured. Shaun's face said it all -- and I certainly rewound my Sky+ to have another look at her roots. What do you think? ruth@HJi x
