KateWoods.pngHi All! I just wanted to introduce myself as HJi's new web editor, Kate.

I'm a complete newcomer to the HJ team - and the hair industry, but I'm assured that you are a friendly bunch who will make me feel very welcome!

Now that the very fabulous image gallery is up and running (and growing all the time), We're looking forward to bringing you more features, more competitions and more FUN!!!

You'll be seeing plenty of changes on HJi in the coming weeks - and we'll be encouraging you to get involved, tell us what you think and have your say.

Obviously, I'm really keen to add content that you love and want to see. So please do tell me exactly what that is.

That's what I'll be up to in the office; outside of work, I love spending lots of times with people who make me smile - going for nice meals, drinks and doing lots and lots of gossiping.

Like the rest of the HJ team, I have a shopping addiction and I've got a real thing for MAC make-up and high-heeled boots. As for my other passion - and this one might take you by surprise - football, or should I say Arsenal (especially Freddie Ljungberg - was there ever a more perfect man?).

You'll be hearing plenty more from me in the coming weeks - I do like to talk - but please let's make it a two-way process, I'd love to hear from you too...x

NEW BRIGHTON SALON

Following the success of our Gatwick salon based at the Basepoint Business Centre, we have now opened the doors to our brand new salon in Brighton at 45-46 Trafalgar Street. This is the first of two new salons to open this year, the second will open in March 2009 on the famous Westbourne Grove in affluent Notting Hill West London.

The official launch event to be held at our Brighton salon will be on 27th February 2009. All press contacts are invited to our champagne event.

These are exciting times for us says James Musgrave the founder of Jimmychochop, the winner of Salon of the Year 2008/09 run by the Crawley Observer. We are experiencing rapid expansion over a short period of time with two new salons in the space of six months and in prime locations. In fact our Notting Hill salon is situated in one of the most affluent locations in London.

We are planning further expansion during 2009 and are always on the look out for aspiring stylists to join our team or potential franchisees who wish to open their own Jimmy Chopchop.
