patriotism at its best

I've just spent the weekend in Milan, at the International final of the 2006 Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award, two days of inspiration and patriotism, as more than 50 countries battled it out for the ultimate prize; being crowned International winner. A Parade of Nations saw flag waving and cheering as competitors took to the stage, before an evening of entertainment which saw waterfalls, acrobatics and a classical orchestra. Victoria Nebbett from Monroe Hairdressing did a great job representing the UK, but lost out to Portugal, who took first place. It was great to see all the countries supported by their own contingencies, but also the respect for the winner from the whole world.
