Great hairdressing is all about 'A-B-C' (art, business and culture): that was the key message on this year's Paul Mitchell Colour Tour.
It was also the recipe for great hairdressing education, as Paul Mitchell Artistic Directors Scott Cole and Linda Yodice, who had flown into from the States to inspire and educate, proved to the Paul Mitchell crowd.

Following the sad passing of Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett, we celebrate the iconic look that made her a style idol and the sweetheart of her generation.
Farrah's long flowing locks and those famous flicks created a new style that has been imitated by many, as British Hairdresser of the Year nominee Errol Douglas explains: "I loved Farrah's look, defined by her flicks and blondeness," he says.
"She became an icon because nobody had that type of hair. Fellow blondie Bo Derek went for the braided look, while Farrah was distinctive for her blonde, power style.
"She had that all American square jaw and beautiful features."

As the credit crunch continues to bite, more people are opting to colour their hair at home rather than spend the money visiting a salon.
But while a block colour may be possible, it's a mistake waiting to happen - and that is when salons can come to rescue and offer their expertise.
Award-winning colourist Lisa Shepherd, from Lisa Shepherd, Midlands, says colour correction is the most requested service at her colour salon in Kidderminster.
As more and more people opt to colour their hair at home, she expects all salons to see a rise in clients coming in for colour correction services.

Habia is warning salon owners not to fall foul of companies targeting small businesses with misleading information about new health and safety law posters. Employers have a legal duty under the Health and Safety Information for Employees Regulations (HSIER) to display the official Health and Safety Executive (HSE) law poster in each workplace or provide each worker with a copy of the equivalent pocket card. A new law poster has been produced by the HSE, but employers have until 5 April 2014 to replace the posters or provide pocket cards.
