Red-carpet hair isn't always about perfect curls or impossible gloss - sometimes embracing natural texture can make even more of a style statement.
Here, we look at the wash-and-go celeb hairstyles from the 2013 BRIT awards and see who got it right - and who didn't quite nail it.
Laura Whitmore
"Laura looks great here and the centre parting is perfect for this look. I like that she hasn't had too much hairspray used and she's let the waves do the talking!" Gary Sunderland, Doll Hair Care
Jaime Winstone
"Oh no! Jaime's blonde tone looks as though it has a bit of a green tinge to it and the hair has no style or shape to it whatsoever." Skyler Macdonald, Sean Hanna
Caroline Flack
"As much as I admire Caroline, I am really starting to get bored of her hair. The two tone colour with the beach waves is slightly dated now. I wish she took more risks with her hair like she does with her fashion!" Karen Dodds, Cutting Room Creative
