Hairstyle hits from the 2011 cosmopolitan ultimate women awards
The Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards 2011 attracted a star-studded series of stylish women, including The X Factor's Tulisa and Kelly and music icon Blondie.

The X Factor's female judges were reunited on the red carpet and it was all smiles ahead of Saturday's live show.

Tulisa were her glossy black lengths swept into a side bun, positioned high on one side of the head, finished with shine spray for a polished look.

Perhaps going slightly overboard with the extensions, Kelly wore waist-length pieces to give her sleek and shiny style a dramatic feel. A lash-tickling blunt fringe completed the look.

Still sporting a softer style, Cher Lloyd looked super-glam with her glossy chocolate box locks styled in bouncy waves. Deep red lips and smoky eyes complete the look - and add to the Cheryl Cole similarity.

Tousled rock chick tresses were worn by Fearne Cotton ad the original grungy pin-up girl, Blondie.

Fearne's tonged bob is toughened up with dark roots and textured lengths, while Blondie's trademark peroxide looks are pure bedhead.

Proving that glossy dark locks are always a red carpet winner, both Myleene Klass and Jameela Jamil showed off super-shiny, healthy styles.

While Jameela stuck to her trademark softly parted-full fringe and smooth lengths, Myleene added texture through the ends of her long locks with loose spiralling waves.

Misha B and Janet Devlin joined their mentor Kelly Rowland at the awards, proving that they're fast becoming celebrities in their own right.

As usual, Misha looked fabulous with her self-styled hair worn in a spherical updo high on the front of her head. While Jamie Stevens ensures she looks amazing on screen, she's definitely nifty with a brush and pins herself!

Janet's bright red barnet looked a little more bedhead than usual, with tousled lengths and long loose waves. A plaited band across the forehead adds a hippy feel to the look, but overall I think Misha is outshining her here.

Shingai Shoniwa might need to up her game as queen of Afro updos with Misha B on the red carpet, but this loosely plaited and twisted style still make a serious statement. A black accessory woven into the look adds an extra dimension.
