Misha cadkova wins international visionary award at alternative hair show

Misha Cadkova took home the International Visionary Award at the 2013 Alternative Hair Show, which took place at the Royal Albert Hall. Representing the Czech Republic, Misha's entry beat off competition from across the globe in the creative contest and she has now earned herself a place presenting a full hairdressing show at next year's event. Taking the joint runner-up prize were Teresa Molloy from Ireland and Luigi Neri from Italy, while second runner-up went to Olekandr Gryshko from the Ukraine. Tony Rizzo, Founder of Alternative Hair, said: ‘The International Visionary Award received record submissions this year with an impressive and the largest finalist short list the competition has ever seen." Also collecting awards on the night were John Frieda, who received recognition for his fundraising efforts; Toni Mascolo who picked up an award in honour of Toni&Guy's 50th anniversary; and John Rainey from Denman International, who was awarded for the company's 75th anniversary. As well as hairdressing shows, the evening also sparkled with entertainment from Denman International spokeswoman and West End star, Zoe Rainey, and saw the presentation of the AIPP Awards.
