The Saks Art Team introduced their latest collection, The Streets, at an event combining education and entertainment at Mayfair Members' club, Aura.

Created for the upcoming Autumn/Winter season, The Streets collection sees hair inspired by fashion with influences including street style blog, The Sartorialist, British street culture and ne season catwalk collections including Elie Saab and Prada.

Art team members Alison Dace, Danny Lynes and Luke Pluckrose demonstrated five new cuts and two new colouring techniques, as well as styling and finishing tips.

Of the relaxed, blog-inspired photography, Luke explained: "Clients will want to buy in to the whole look, it's not just about the hair - it's a whole image."

The event also saw the launch of the revamped Simply Saks collection, now renamed Simply Saks - The Knowledge.

Comprising 13 classic haircuts as well as fringe and blow-drying techniques, the week-long course will be compulsory for all new stylists and with a more fashion-forward edge than ever before, is also recommended for existing stylists who want to stay ahead of the game.
