Follow this step by step to recreate this the ultimate update to the classic Birkin style by SachaJuan's co-founder Sacha Mitic. He explains: “The inspiration for this update to a classic Birkin look came from Jane Birkin herself. The long lengths with no graduation felt thin and flat so adding the graduation made it more full and bouncy.”
How to create the ultimate update to the classic birkin style
Step 1
Cut the fringe. Do not make it too short and you should point it out to give a soft and wispy feel.
Step 2
Getting down to the side parts we are slicing it to make it soft and working that graduation towards the ear.
Step 3
Repeat on the other side. As you finish the front it’s important to check both sides to make sure you create a good balance.
Step 4
Spritz hair with SACHAJUAN Leave-In Conditioner to keep it moist. Stand in front and work towards the middle of the head making the graduation of the rest of the hair. Pull hair towards you to carry out a classic graduation technique.
Step 5
Repeat on the other side and when ready let the hair fall forward so you can see the shape and the balance between the two sides.
Step 6
Release the hair and take out some extra weight on the top if necessary.
Step 7
Prepare for styling by coating the hair in SACHAJUAN Mousse.
Step 8
Use SACHAJUAN Volume Cream on the roots of the hair to give stability and lift.
Step 9
Add SACHAJUAN Shine Serum to the ends and comb all the products through the hair.
Step 10
Blow-dry the hair starting from the front and working to the back. Use a smaller brush on the delicate fringe area and use the brush to give the hair a little bounce.
Step 11
Turn the head upside down to see the shape and do some finishing touches and corrections with some free hand cutting. To finish, keep the hair in place using the SACHAJUAN Light and Flexible Hair Spray.
