L’Oréal Professional Products Division Launch Total Texture – The Science and Identification of all Hair Textures
Total Texture, a new and free L’Oréal Access Online Training Course, is launching with the aim of equipping and refreshing hair professionals on the foundation knowledge they need to be able to welcome every client and care for every hair texture.
It’s a fact that all hair has a natural texture – from coils to curls and from waves to even the straightest of tresses, in short no head of hair is ever the same. That’s why L’Oréal Professional Products Division, including L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, Kérastase, Redken and Matrix, is proud to announce the launch of Total Texture – a series of knowledge-enriching theory tutorials. Led by a range of leading hair pros, they will be open to all on L’Oréal Access with the aim of equipping and refreshing hair professionals on the foundation knowledge they need to be able to welcome every client and care for every hair texture.
Created in collaboration with three-time British Hairdressing Awards Afro Hairdresser of the Year winner and owner of the Hair Lounge, Charlotte Mensah, alongside other renowned hair experts, Total Texture is set to lead the way in textured hair education.
“If you want to be a great hairdresser it is so important to know how to work with every hair type so that anyone who walks through your door can be welcomed,” explains Charlotte Mensah. “Therefore understanding the fundamentals of what, why and how texture influences hairdressing techniques is essential.”
The Total Texture 45-minute introductory online course comprises of 13 short videos and will arm hair professionals with a foundational understanding on how to nourish and nurture hair of all textures. It will also explain the science behind why hair textures vary and how it influences different hairdressing skill-sets. The result? Renewed confidence in your craft and buoyancy in your client’s bounce.
Launching on L’Oréal Access on Tuesday 3 August, the online training is both engaging and interactive, and all theory is supported by a variety of hair models from across the coil and curl spectrum. Each tutorial concludes with an expert panel discussion, reinforcing the texture learnings and highlighting the importance of using your texture knowledge in your everyday craft.
