Davines Celebrates its 30th Year in Paris

by bathamm / May 29, 2013

More than 1,500 hairdressers from 45 nations arrived at the Folies Bergere in Paris for the Davines World Wide Hair Tour 2013.
It was the biggest turn-out in the brand’s 30 year history and Davines ensured all delegates left feeling inspired.
The first day saw some of hairdressing’s most creative talents take to the stage at the opulent venue, presenting a diverse range of collections, created using Davines colour and styling products – including those from brand new styling range More Inside, which was introduced to delegates at the two-day event.
Representing the UK was the team from Allilon, who presented around 20 models, and demonstrated the cutting and colour techniques that have gained them a world-wide reputation for creating strong editorial looks that push the boundaries of hairdressing.
Also flying over from the UK for the event was the brand’s artistic director, Angelo Seminara. Angelo stunned the crowd with an hour-long presentation of his artistry. His philosophy, he told delegates, was simply to make women look beautiful – and beauty and originality filled the stage during his time with the audience.
Day one also saw a surprise appearance by Aldo Signoretti, the hairdresser behind some of the film world’s most iconic hair looks, with a CV which includes work on Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge and Romeo + Juliet. Following an exclusive viewing of his new film Hair 35mm, Aldo was introduced to the stage to talk about his incredible career.
Day two saw delegates treated with a series of seminars, offering them a more detailed insight into how some of the looks they had seen on day one were created, plus a demonstration of the versatility of products in the Davines range.
Two nights’ of partying also ensured delegates had plenty of time to network and share ideas.
