By entering the promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (these “Terms and Conditions“).  Promotional materials relating to the promotion, including all information on how to enter the promotion, also form part of these Terms and Conditions.   • Entrants must be professional hairdressers working in or owning a salon in UK or Ireland, or working as a mobile hair professional within the UK or Ireland. Promoter reserves the right to verify that entrants are professional hairdressers.
  • Entrants must have internet access and a public Instagram account.

 

How To Enter Requirements: For your chance to win, ‘like’ and tag at least two professional hair stylist friends on the Hairdressers Journal Instagram post at https://www.instagram.com/hairdressersjournal/?hl=en All entrants will be entered into the First Prize Draw (please see further details below) and the winners will be selected at random.

Prize Draw Dates: The winners of the First Prize Draw will be selected on 20 May 2022.

 

Notification of Winner(s):

  • The winners will be notified on 20 May 2022 by the Co-Promoter via direct message or a comment under the winner’s entry to the Promotion, requesting the winner to supply their email address via direct message to the Co-Promoter. The Co-Promoter will share the address details with the Promoter for the delivery of their prize.
  • If the winner does not respond to the Co-Promotor within 21 days of being notified of their winning entry to provide the email address requested for the prize to be dispatched, the Promotor reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner at random from all eligible entrants.

 

Delivery

 

Prize Delivery: Please allow up to 30 days from the date a winner supplies the requested details for delivery of the prize.

 

General Terms and Conditions

 

Entry and eligibility

  1. Entries must be received between the Entry Open Date and the Entry Closing Date.
  2. The promotion is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
  3. The Promoters’ employees, their immediate family or any third party directly associated with the promotion are not eligible to enter.
  4. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries will not be valid. Proof of complying with the How to Enter Requirements will not be accepted as proof of receipt or entry.  Promoters are not responsible for entries lost, damaged or delayed due to technical or connectivity or other problems.
  5. Only one entry per person is permitted. Bulk entries from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be valid. Entrants cannot win more than one prize per prize draw, although an entrant can win one prize from the First Prize Draw and one prize from the Second Prize Draw.
  6. Any entries which do not comply with the How to Enter Requirements, or which contain any third party intellectual property without prior informed consent from the rights holder, or which contain any abusive, inappropriate, offensive or obscene language or imagery will be disqualified. Examples of language/images considered to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene, include (but are not limited to): any message/image which contains (a) swearing; (b) comments or actions which appear to be discriminatory of any person, company or group of individuals, for example comments of a racist, sexist or homophobic nature; (c) sexual innuendo, sexual language or sexual acts, actions or gestures; (d) promoting any illegal unlawful activity such as drug use; (e) any message that appears to be an advertisement or solicitation to buy; and (f) any materials (whether written or visual) that directly or indirectly relate to Promoters’ competitor brands or that show any intention of promoting any brand other than Promoters brand’s.
  7. Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the promotion in a manner, which in the Promoters’ reasonable determination is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other entrants (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the promotion, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or the Promoters and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the promotion at the Promoters’ sole discretion. Furthermore, where such actions have significantly impaired the promotion, the Promoters may, at their sole discretion, add further stages to the promotion as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.

 

Prize fulfilment and disqualification

  1. Prizes are as stated, they are not transferable and there are no alternative prizes or cash substitutes. Promoters reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that the selected prize is unavailable for any reason whatsoever.
  2. A winner forfeits their prize and the Promoters reserve the right to select an alternative winner at random from the eligible entrants if:
  • within 3 weeks of being notified by Promoter, a winner does not respond or does not provide the requested information; or
  • if a prize is rejected or returned undeliverable; or
  • if an entry is invalid or an entrant is disqualified or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  1. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify an entrant or winner that, in its absolute discretion, could bring the Promoters into disrepute.
  2. Promoters shall disqualify any entries that have failed to abide by and/or are in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. The surname and county of the winner(s) can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope, within 4 weeks of the winner of the promotion being announced, to the Promoter at 255 Hammersmith Road, London, W6 8AZ, referencing the Promotion Name. If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at the aforementioned address. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

 

Personal Information

  1. All personal details and/or information given in the application either in the entry process or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading. Promoters reserve the right to disqualify entrants if they have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
  2. Any personal information that entrants share with the Promotors (including name, address, email, social media profile, or other data) will be kept secure and only used in line with each Promoter’s Privacy Policies and these Terms. By entering the promotion, entrants acknowledge that their information may be used by the Promotor and its suppliers to administer the promotion. The Promotor may contact entrants by email, post, phone, SMS or other means in relation to the promotion, but will not send entrants any marketing communication unless entrants have also agreed to this or the Promoters have another lawful basis for the communication.
  3. The contact details of the winners will be collected and processed by the Promoter so that the Promoter can provide the winners with the prize.

 

Use of Entry Content

  1. Promoters shall own all the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the entries and any other materials (whether visual, oral or written) generated during the various stages of this promotion, in perpetuity and on a worldwide basis for use at Promoters’ sole discretion including, without limitation, use in advertising, other media, press releases, editorial and promotional activity, point of sale material, Promoters’ websites, third party websites (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube), newsletters, e-newsletters or as a product label. However, the Promoters shall be under no obligation to use any entry, including the winning entry, in any manner, including on any product for any particular duration.
  2. Accordingly entrants assign to Promoter any copyright and other intellectual property rights which exist in their participation in this promotion and irrevocably waive any moral rights that could vest in them (which shall include their name, location and age) under the Copyrights, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or otherwise, and undertake to do all things necessary immediately on Promoter’s request to effect or confirm any assignment in this paragraph.

 

Limitation of Liability

  1. Neither Promoter nor agencies nor suppliers involved in this promotion may be liable to the winners, whether arising from tort including negligence, breach of contract or otherwise or for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered whatsoever as a result of or relating to participation in this promotion or the prizes to the extent permissible by law. No compensation for loss of earnings will be paid by Promoter for participation in any aspect of this promotion.

  1.   1. (a)  Ethical Commitment Letter.
  2. (b)  Co-Promoter shall additionally also comply with the L’Oréal’s Corruption Prevention Policy as follows:

PRINCIPLES FOR ACTION

  • We (which in the context of this Schedule 5 refers to L’Oréal), apply a zero tolerance policy on corruption;
  • L’ORÉAL’s corruption prevention policy applies to all L’Oréal personnel (including members of the L’Oréal Group’s Executive and Management Committees and subsidiaries worldwide) working at all levels, (whether permanent, fixed-term or temporary), including senior managers, employees, consultants, contractors, trainees, seconded staff, casual workers and agency staff, interns, grads, agents, or any other person associated with us for example suppliers, or their employees;
  • Notwithstanding the existence of more restrictive anti-corruption laws, we consider that constitutes an act of corruption the offering, promising or giving, whether directly or indirectly, of an undue advantage in order that a person act or retain from acting in the exercise of his or her duties or in breach of his or her duties as well as accepting or soliciting an undue advantage in order to act or retain from acting in the exercise of his or her duties or in breach of his or her duties; in particular, we prohibit ” facilitation payments”;
  • We do not allow any contributions to be made to political parties or politicians with a view to obtaining commercial advantage;
  • We ensure that charity contributions and other philanthropic actions are not acts of corruption “in disguise”;

  • We carry out detailed corruption risks due diligence before any acquisition or joint venture;
  • We take measures to ensure that the joint ventures in which we participate respect our corruption prevention standards;
  • We communicate our commitment to preventing corruption to our business partners and favour those who share them;

By entering competitions run by Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd, you will receive communications from Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd and its competition sponsors and partners, in relation to the competition. No cash alternatives will be offered. All prizes offered in relation to an exhibition must be collected at that particular event and will not be sent in the post.

Payments
Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd require all processors to securely protect your data and only retain data for as long as they need. Online payments will be taken via Docdata, The Ticket Factory or Esco subscriptions services, depending on the product or service, via our website. The payments taken online will be via a secure payment gateway and will appear on your bank statement as Trades Exhibitions or M Squared Media.

All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Any requests for refunds must be received within 21 days following an event and will be reviewed by management with no guarantee of a reimbursement.

Photography
All events will be photographed with the intention of the images being used for the purpose of marketing. By registering for and attending an event you acknowledge that a photographer will be present and you may appear in a shot. Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd have the right to use the images as they wish. Any images taken from our website must be referenced and credited to the event. If you do not wish to be featured in photographs please make the organisers of the event aware on arrival.

Events
By registering for all events run by Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd, you will receive communications from Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd and its sponsors and partners, in relation to the events, which include exhibitions, conferences and awards.

Transactions During the Event
Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd are not liable for any transactions undertaken at any events between attendees and exhibitors or sponsors of the events. Any complaints please contact the sponsor or exhibitor directly.

Data Collection – Event Registration
For all Trades Exhibitions Ltd & M Squared Media Ltd events you will be required to register online or at the event in order to attend. To access the exhibitions and conferences, you will be required to register for a badge or purchase a ticket which you will need to bring with you to the event in order to gain access. Without a badge or purchased ticket you will not be permitted access. Even if you have attended previous events, you will be required to re-register for each event.

Trades Exhibitions Ltd & M Squared Media Ltd request that your data is supplied and a series of mandatory questions are answered to enable us to understand the demographics and requirements of our audience for each event.

Trades Exhibitions Ltd & M Squared Media Ltd will contact you with show information which they deem relevant including product updates, special offers, education, planning your agenda for the event and exhibitor and sponsor information. If you have registered for an event which requires you to present an entry badge on arrival this will be emailed to you prior to the event to print out to bring with you to the show to save time on arrival.

You will also receive a post-event survey in order to allow us to analyse the performance of the event, demographics of attendees, reasons for non-attendance and to understand how to improve future events.

Data Collection – Scanners at the show
At certain Trades Exhibitions Ltd & M Squared Media Ltd events, exhibitors and sponsors will have the opportunity to scan visitors’ badges with the intention of collecting their data in order to contact them in the future with information they feel is relevant. The scanners will be provided by a 3rd party registration company N200 by GES to the exhibitors and sponsors to operate.

By allowing an exhibitor or sponsor to scan your badge at an event you are granting them access to the contact details and demographic information supplied during your registration for the event. When registering for an event you will be required to tick a box to comply with the following policy:
I understand that by choosing to allow my badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor when at the event, I will be providing the exhibitor or sponsor with my personal data. I consent to this personal data being used to contact me about their products or services and understand that this partner or sponsor may transfer this data outside of the European Economic Area for these purposes and I consent to such transfer of my data. I also understand and agree that my personal data may be held and used by the organiser of this event, Trades Exhibitions Ltd or M Squared Media Ltd, and any third party hosting provider acting on its behalf, in order to run the event and for analysing visitor traffic with a view to improving the event experience for visitors.

 

Events Entrance Policy
All events organised by Trades Exhibitions Ltd and M Squared Media Ltd are open only to trade and professional visitors over the age of 14, with the exception of our medical beauty events for which the minimum age restriction is over 18. Under no circumstances will prams, babies, pushchairs or buggies be permitted. No exceptions will be made.
