Patrick cameron presents the classics at salon international

Patrick Cameron brought his own unique brand of easy education to Salon International for 2017, presenting his latest collection; Easy Classics. Separated into two sections, Easy Classics and and Easy Ponytails, the show demonstrated how simple long hair dressing can be if you follow simple steps and techniques. "I want to return the power to the hairdresser," he told the crowd. "So that you can feel confident with long hair. Today, 60-70% of salon clients have long hair, so it's vital that you know how to work with it." Luckily, that's where Patrick steps in. His first four ponytails showcased the versatility of this styling staple, bringing in a selection of diverse new techniques to add interest and create a bespoke finish. Patrick added knots, twists and woven sections to enhance the hair, with looks ranging from a textured mohawk to a rockabilly-meets-Bardot backcombed pigtail look. For the Easy Classics section of the show, Patrick demonstrated how using hair padding to create shapes opens up a world of possibilities and opportunity. Backcombing the hair and stuffing it into a hairnet created a solid anchor for a variety of styles, ranging from chic chignons with the wow factor to a classic Breakfast at Tiffany's pleat formed from three intertwined p onytails. There was even a trademark Patrick twist, with a 15-second updo, which he dubbed his simplest look ever. Pulling hair through one of his own-brand hair 'halo' pad and twisting to create a simple bun with flair. Always with the salon stylist in mind, he advised the crowd that this was a great look for those with extensions as it puts little to no pressure on the hair, and was also suitable for brides who wanted to change their look up throughout the big day without having to start from scratch. Patrick also used the show to share his newest education output with the crowd; downloadable videos to stream at home, so that this trademark techniques and step-by-steps can be done in your own time, at your own pace, or even for the salon team to work on together on training nights. There's even an Access All Areas option, providing even more videos and extra information to inspire long hair lovers.
