Introducing the tangle teezer blow-styling brush Introducing the Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Brush The Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Brush is the latest addition to the Tangle Teezer family, and it's all about making your life easier when blow-drying in the salon. With the original styler a global best-seller and the Aqua Splash a firm favourite, the Blow-Styling Brush has been introduced to make blow-drying an easier, quicker and less painful process - both in terms of client comfort and stylist's time management. We spoke to Tangle Teezer's inventor, Shaun P, to find out more about the new addition to the family. Why did you decide to expand the Tangle Teezer range with something totally different? Following the success of our detangling brushes, I decided to look into how hairdressers blow-dry hair. After two years of research - which included filming hairdressers blow-drying with all different types of brushes - I discovered a lot of stretch drying was being used. This isn't great for the hair so I decided to create a brush that provided more gentle, reliable and consistent tension. How does your brush do that? I created fixed-base teeth that are designed in such a way that it creates free-flow tension with no pulling or tugging. They also extract surface water quickly from the hair, so there’s no need to pre-dry and your blow-dry time is cut down. The end result is smooth hair, with no frizz. What are the main differences between this brush and traditional paddle brushes? Like our detangling brush, the secret and technology is built into the teeth. Their shape and configuration allows the hair to flow freely through the teeth with no pulling, unlike other paddle brushes. Our teeth are of a professional salon-grade material, designed to enhance the pick-up of your hair as you blow-dry giving natural volume, and lasting better for longer use. This means you can use it more gently than your other paddle brushes without causing breakage of the hair. Do you have a tip for stylists to get the most out of the brush/a top technique? The beauty of this brush is you don’t need a technique to produce great results. The teeth do all the work. From a junior stylist, to a super stylist, the results will be the same.
