Step up & shine winner spends day with chris foster

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing's Step Up & Shine winner, Sophie Fregard, spent the final day of her year-long scholarship with Chris Foster at The Foster Academy, for the Clipper Confidence course. The hands-on workshop saw Sophie, along with four other students, working on a dolls head before moving on to a live model, using her new-found clipper work on the hair. Sophie, from Tops Hair and Beauty in Melksham, said: "This was my final choice of education and I wasn't disappointed. Since being awarded the scholarship last year I have benefitted from some incredible courses. I have learnt so much and cannot wait to take everything back to the salon." The Christofer Mann Step Up & Shine Scholarship, in association with National Hairdressers' Federation, was set up to nurture enthusiastic stylists who may not have access to quality training.
