The hairdressing industry mourns sean nolan [updated] Sean Nolan, head of technical for HOB Salons and Academy has sadly passed away at the age of 37. A star of the hair world and a much-loved figure, Sean's death comes as a great shock to the industry. Sean was enjoying working on the HOB Academy show for the Wella Trend Vision Awards tour in Scotland earlier this week when he was taken ill and rushed to hospital. It was discovered that he had a cyst on his brain, which quickly led to a fatal brain haemorrhage. His family were with him when he passed away. HOB have commented: "Sean was a colour legend in his own right; a born creative, a dynamic performer, and a passionate advocate of education. He will be deeply and unequivocally missed by the whole HOB family and everyone that knew or worked with him." We will be updating this page as we receive industry tributes to mark Sean's life...
"All of us at Hairtribe are deeply saddened to hear about Sean passing. We had the opportunity to work with Sean and create some videos with him recently. He was an incredible colourist with so many creative ideas and approached his work with a real passion, craftsmanship and care. He was such fun to work with and put a smile on all of our faces. Our thoughts are with his colleagues at HOB, his family and his friends. He will be missed."

"Sean was an amazing inspirational guest colourist and colour creative  for Wella Professionals, who shared his passion, creativity, beautiful colour work and energy with everyone he met.  We loved working with Sean and he will be truly missed by us all at Wella Professionals."
Judith Holmes, Wella Studio operations manager
