Meet the award winners of the rush oscars 2018 Rush had lots to celebrate at its annual awards ceremony, the Rush Oscars last month. The salon chain's jam-packed year included new salon openings, a new academy and the Rush Art Team entering the British Hairdressing Awards' Hall of Fame after winning Artistic Team of the Year three times. The Rush Oscars took place at the Phoenix Theatre in London with over 1,000 employees eagerly waiting to find out if they had won an 'oscar'. Rush's co-founders Andy Phouli and Stell Andrew told the audience: "2018 is all about setting goals in business and creativity and using our skills to achieve them. Through training and education Rush will grow and develop both creatively and as a business." Ashley Haynes was named the newest member of the Rush Artistic Team and Tom Atkinson won the photographic competition, which includes a photographic shoot prize. New academy director, Adam Bryant was welcomed to the Rush family and said he was overwhelmed with the support for his new role and proud to be a part of such a great team. The award winners included Newcomer of the Year Dario Mirao, Colourist of the Year Esin Mehmet and Manager of the Year Abby Truelove.
