Celebrity hairdresser herbert howe dies at 72

It is with great sadness the hairdressing industry says goodbye to another legend, Herbert Howe.
Herbert was diagnosed with 7 brain tumours and after an 18 month battle he died in the early hours of this morning.
A larger-than-life character known as the 'Liberace' of the hairdressing industry, Herbert will be greatly missed by friends, family and colleagues.
Fellowship Events Director, Ann Herman said, 'It has been my privilege to have been a close friend of Herbert and his family for almost 30 years. He was an extremely generous man, a great charity fund raiser, truly wonderful character and I will miss him.'
deBarry Blanchard, Past Master and Fellow of the Guild of Hairdressers said: 'It is with a heavy heart that we heard of Herbert’s passing. He was a great friend and Fellow of the Guild. Herbert was was the perfect showman; always generous with his time and gave so much of himself for the sake of our industry.Having known Herbert for 57 years, he leaves behind a legacy of good will and irreplacable memories. To all who knew and loved him. Never to be forgotten. Rest in Peace.'
