Casey coleman is pioneering a #patchtestparty The importance of clients getting a patch test has been well documented recently and now salon owner Casey Coleman is speaking up on the issue with #PATCHTESTPARTY. Casey, the founder of CHAIRsalons, Cardiff’s first gender neutral salon, is offering clients money off services throughout the month of April if they go into his salon for a skin test during the month. On the issue of clients not having patch tests, Casey says: “Because I’m just six weeks into my own business I’m constantly thinking of ways to improve the service we can offer. I’ve always crusaded the fact that I always skin test my clients and have always refused to colour someone’s hair if they’re not willing to have a patch test. It only takes one client to have a bad reaction and it’s too late! It’s our responsibility as hairdressers to enforce this vital part of colouring.” Throughout the last month, Casey has been inviting clients to visit him at CHAIR Salon for a patch test and in return rewards them with either £10 or 10% of their next colour service whichever is more. “It’s vital that we make this mundane task fun for everyone involved. This way we educate our clients on the benefits of patch testing,” said Casey. https://www.instagram.com/p/BhJBpsDB9f8/?taken-by=chairsalons For more information please visit chairsalons.com
