Rainbow room international takes on trnsmt Working backstage over the last 15 years at T In The Park and TRNSMT, Scotland’s hottest music festivals, Rainbow Room International were delighted to be called back to TRNSMT this year to tend to the hair of the artists. Stylists from across all twelve of the Rainbow Room International salons attended the three-day event, held at Glasgow Green in Glasgow, Scotland, whereby a pop-up salon was created backstage amongst the dressing rooms of the stars to allow for easy access and preparation before they took to the TRNSMT stages. A vast number of artists visited the pop-up salon over the weekend, including band members from Sam Fender and Ella Henderson on Friday, band members of Griff, The Fontaines D.C, The Snuts, CMAT, Foals, Medicine Cabinet, Bemz and George O’Hanlon on Saturday and band members of Wolf Alice, Nina Nesbitt, Mimi Webb and Easy Life on Sunday. Some of the most requested looks over the weekend were fades and clipper cuts for the men, and for the women some long hair dressing and curling, but also blunt cuts with sleek styling and braids. Some of the artists even experimented with colour with the help of Crazy Color Pastel Sprays. Many of the band members were also sporting one of the most on trend cuts of 2022 – the mullet – and had the Rainbow Room International team shape and perfect their cuts before heading on stage. Not only did the Rainbow Room International team help to style the stars for their on-stage appearances, but they also helped retrieve signatures from the artists, having some of the band members sign a guitar provided from guitar shop, Guitar Guitar, that will later be auctioned to raise money for charity, Nordoff Robbins – the UK’s largest music therapy charity that enriches the lives of people with life-limiting illness, disabilities or feelings of isolation. Rainbow Room TRNSMT Commenting on the weekend, David Nicolson, Director of Rainbow Room International’s Royal Exchange Square salon, said: “After the upheaval of the past two years it was fantastic to return back to TRNSMT and be involved in such an amazing spectacle of music and entertainment that showcases the best of Scottish talent. These events provide us with exciting opportunities for our young team who were all delighted to be involved and to have a full-on three days creating strong fashion hair work.”
