Your introduction to the f.a.m.e. team of 2019 The Fellowship for British Hairdressing's F.A.M.E. Team provides up-and-coming hairdressing talent with exposure, mentoring and opportunities throughout the year. This scheme nurtures impeccable talent and has given rise to Errol Douglas MBE, Carolyn Newman and other big names. Meet the four young stylists who have made it into this year's team

Tania Faenza @taniuz ,TONI&GUY Canary Wharf.

An avid follower of the F.A.M.E. Team, her friend Katie Prescott gave her a taste of what last years team learnt.  Inspiration for Tania comes from everything around her including history, emotions and art and she is inspired by Efi Davies, Nick Irwin, Errol Douglas MBE and Angelo Seminara. She said: "I'm excited to learn from some amazing creative talents and evolve my skills to become a better, more experienced stylist"

Lora Griffin @loragriffyhair, Simon Webster Hair.

Long time admirer of the of Nick Irwin, Lora is excited for this opportunity to be mentored by him. She enjoys combining inspiration from unlikely sources with current trends, music and fashion creating provoking work. This experience has helped her from the start with Lora saying: "preparing for the audition was, in itself, an interesting growth experience; building my confidence and inspiring new ways of working". Through this scheme she hopes to refine her skills in high pressure environments

Ashley Cockerell @ajcockrellhair, Percy & Reed

Ashley is excited about being given a bigger platform as well as learning and sharing skills with his peers. He believes this experience will enable him to to improve his craft and have the opportunity to explore new avenues of the industry. His inspiration comes from glamorised underground movements, looking to i-D magazine and garage music among other things. One person he admires in the industry is: "Gary Gill. I love the simplicity of his work and his ability to create hair that is so strong but yet so understated".

Alastair Jubbs @mrjubbs, VAE Hair

Incredibly excited about working with and being mentored by Nick Irwin, for Alistair the F.A.M.E. Team was the next step after Project X. He is using this scheme to improve his  session work and developing his approach to looks and various briefs. Ashleigh Hodges, friend and mentor is one of the people he truly admires because of  her contributions to other stylists and the industry. He believes "the best work in our industry today draws inspiration from all f our experiences and the people we meet." We look forward to seeing what they do in 2019.
