Industry saddened by darren lacken's passing It is with great sadness that HJ reports on the passing of hairdresser Darren Lacken. Darren Lacken was the director and co-owner of Crow Street Collective salon in Dublin, Ireland, in partnership with Mark Talbot. He also worked as a talented session stylist, working on editorial shoots for magazines such as Tatler and Image, and working with various celebrity clients, including Cara Delevigne and Alexa Chung. The Crow Street Collective salon posted on Instagram with the sad news: "It is with broken hearts we are devastated to say our beloved Darren passed away suddenly yesterday. It is impossible to convey into words how we are feeling right now... He was the heart & soul of our salon, a best friend to each and every one of us and the backbone of our team 💔 Our hearts are with Mark and all of Darrens family at this tragic time." Several within the industry paid tribute in the comments to the late hairdresser, who was well loved among his peers and clients. https://www.instagram.com/p/CWaeJq8M3JC/ During his career, Darren's work was recognised  at several prestigious industry awards, winning the International Platinum Winner for Colour Vision 2016, Irish All Star silver medal, Image Magazine Style Award and Wella TrendVision silver medal. Darren also took to the stage at HJ Live Ireland in 2019, showcasing incredible punk-inspired looks. The Crow Street Collective announced on Instagram that they will be holding a candlelit vigil this evening (Friday 19 November) to commemorate Darren. HJ’s thoughts are with Darren's friends, family and colleagues at this incredibly sad time.
