Season Your Identity, the new collection from Blue Tit and Oway, enhances the style and colour of the hair – and celebrates the freedom of individuality.

The Blue Tit 2021 collection with Oway is a riot of nuances, a palette of identity qualities animated by the courage of experimentation and the desire to outline the chromatic range of its peculiarities: iconic, singular and distinctive.

The unique campaign features nine incredible looks; Naples Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Yellow Ocher, Raw Sienna, Raw Umber, Silver Obsidian, Mars Brown, Ultramarine Green and Saturn Red. The creative team chose to make colour the main focus of this collection.

The collection was a passion project for Blue Tit’s creative team during lockdown. Each look was crafted around the model to enhance their features, and colour placement was used to complement the hair’s natural texture and movement. Blue Tit’s 3rd Oway collection celebrates the freedom of enhancing the style and colour of your hair as an expression of self; respecting individuality and creativity all whilst ensuring it has the least impact on our planet.

Sustainably conscious, Blue Tit are proud to be the international global creative directors of organic, botanical Italian haircare brand Oway, which is the first professional hair care and colour line that’s made with biodynamic, organic, fair trade, and non-toxic ingredients.

As a company Blue Tit strives for less impact on the environment from their salons and aims to provide a space for the environmentally conscious, while seeking to encourage more ethical working practices across the industry. These values are shared between Blue Tit and Oway. As the first Bcorp-approved salon group in Europe they have partnered with Oway, in the belief that our planet must be respected without compromising on the quality of hair care.

Below we take a look at the nine looks, and the inspiration behind each of them in the creative team’s own words.

“Rich sandy hues play against a textured bob and Blue Tit’s creative teams reimagined the mullet.”

“Masie’s look was inspired by 80’s shag layering. We wanted to celebrate Masie’s hair with one of Blue Tit’s signature shags while showcasing its versatility with different styling techniques.”

“Inspired by the vibrant copper tones in the hair, Blue Tit wanted to make Ava’s natural tone pop with the use of the blonde front panel and darker red placement.”

“Shape and structure heavily lead the direction of Rissikat look. They wanted to create striking shapes partnered with considered colour placement.”

“For Chiara they used their new brickwork colour technique as the focal point, giving more depth and dimension to her already rich colour.”

“The team added darker tones to embrace Dee’s gorgeous hair colour. A structured cut allowed us to showcase all shades of this beautiful colour palette.”

“Colour placement was used to complement and play off the natural texture and movement within the hair.”

“This look was heavily inspired by the post punk scene. They gave Bailey more attitude by adding the Aquamarine blue to his Helmet bleach. They styled it two ways with softer finger waves to express soft motion and spikes to amplify the colour statement.”

“This look was inspired by trend forecasting. Taking their soft loose texture into a heavy bleached bold panel.”

What a gorgeous collection that perfectly displays both the creative and ethical similarities between the two brands.
