F&m hairdressing creative director celebrates 40th anniversary in hairdressing F&M Hairdressing creative director, Kevin Paul Finnell, is celebrating his 40th  anniversary in the hairdressing industry. The Glasgow-born stylist began his career in a local salon in the early 1980s, and Kevin’s passion for hairdressing grew, specifically within creative cutting. Kevin sought a career in hairdressing by chance, having originally wanted to become an actor. As Kevin’s career continued to progress, he worked within three prestigious salons in both Glasgow and Bournemouth, gaining experience in the industry and continuously building on his skillset and techniques. After meeting F&M co-founder Brian MacMillian, Kevin took the risk to move back to Glasgow and the pair opened F&M Hairdressing in Barrhead (located on the outskirts of Glasgow) in 2001, where he is now creative director of the salon. “I can’t believe it’s been 40 years since I became part of this incredible industry,” says Kevin. “By chance I fell into this career and it has given me so many amazing opportunities throughout the journey and I simply love what I do. “I’ve met so many incredible individuals along the way and have a fantastic team behind me in the salon," he says. "Here’s to the next 40!” Kevin prides himself on offering his clients exceptional quality and service when it comes to both cut and colour services.
