Barbersride returns for 2022! Charity motorcycle road trip, BarbersRide, is back for another year this August. With the event growing year on year and riders already eager to sign up, BarbersRide 2022 is expected to be bigger and better than ever. Initially established in 2017, the annual event has a mission to raise significant funds and as much awareness as possible for charities whilst enjoying the unbeatable sense of camaraderie that only a motorcycling road trip can offer. BarbersRide has so far raised a grand total of £86,000 for a number of children's charities - including London’s Great Ormond Street, Liverpool’s Alder Hey Childrens Hospitals and most recently for the national Make-A-Wish charity. Participants get to raise money for charity - while also receiving exclusive access to the event's barber partners, and a goody bag worth £75 of products. The event has sponsored Make-A-Wish since 2019, saying: “Make-A-Wish grants special wishes for sick children when they are most in need and bring positivity and happiness in times of distress. We really wanted to work with a national children’s charity so that children from each region could benefit – Make-A-Wish were the perfect organisation to partner with. We even managed to ride in 2020, observing social distancing, and had incredible support from our sponsors, our riders, the barbers and barbershops and of course the guests at every event.” The 2021 Barbersride saw the biggest journey to date, with 40 riders making the 1,671-mile journey across the Scottish Highlands and Northern England - raising over £20,000. In 2022, BarbersRide kicks off on 6th August, running until the 11th of August. The yet to be confirmed route will take in England’s South and South-West coast, from Weston-Super-Mare to Broadstairs for the grande finale. All with one goal: to have as much fun as possible whilst raising funds for Make-A-Wish. barbersrideThe Make-A-Wish charity is incredibly grateful to BarbersRide for their donations, with Chief Executive Jason Suckley commenting: "We are hugely grateful to BarbersRide and all those who have supported their brilliantly unique way of fundraising for Make-A-Wish over the years. Any money they raise will help us with our ambitious mission to light up the lives of every child in the UK who has a critical condition, by granting their wish. From the moment they are diagnosed, the joy of childhood is often brought to an abrupt end while treatment, medical appointments and worry take over. It cant be underestimated how powerful a wish can be in bringing light and joy to those children, as well as their loved ones, creating positive moments and cherished memories that have a lasting impact on all their lives.” If you are a barbershop who would like to be considered to host a future event or if you work with a brand that would like to become a sponsorship, contact the BarbersRide team by emailing  [email protected]  The event organisers would also be delighted to hear any motorcyclists that might like to team up for the ride of a lifetime.
