The British Barbers Association (BBA) are now offering barbershops the chance to prove they are the ‘best of the best’ with a new accreditation scheme.
Clients and fellow professionals alike will be able to recognise accredited shops who have gone the extra mile in terms of customer service, standards, health and safety and training.
So how can a barbershop get the accreditation?
Barbershops will need to demonstrate they can meet a range of strict criteria. For example, a commitment to staff training, as well as regulatory requirements like legal coverage, compliance with health and safety, and policies on sharps and electrical testing.
In return, those that are deemed to be Accredited Barbershops will have access to a range of promotional materials. They can proudly display the official BBA Accredited Barbershops logo on their website and they will receive PR and marketing materials. Barbershops will also get a window sticker, a wall certificate and a placement on the BBA website. Further benefits include access to the BBA advice line, monthly updates on employment law and business guidance, discounts on BBA training, and a free BBA male grooming kit.
