Not only was this weekend the last bank holiday of the year, we also saw the music industry’s most glamorous out in full force at the MTV Video Music Awards. From Beyoncé to Taylor Swift, we had a tough choice picking some of our favourite looks but one we couldn’t get enough of was this super chic wet look style from Queen of the red carpet, Kim Kardashian-West. We spoke to Director of KAM Hair & Body Spa Karen Thomson for her top tips on how to get the look. ‘In 2015 we saw Kim Kardashian-West sport the slick back hair at the VMA’s. This year, she adapted this trend and created wet beachy waves. At KAM Hair & Body Spa, we love how this style has combined the slick back look with messy textured waves that were popular during the summer period it looks sexy yet classy and is super simple to create.’

• Using hair gel, start at the hairline and work towards the crown of the head, bringing the gel through the hair, using your fingers or a comb.
• Scrunch or twist the hair to encourage waves/curls.
• For added volume, flip the head upside down and scrunch the gel in evenly or add some sea salt or texturising spray.
