These were the standout looks from the bafta awards 2019 The biggest stars of the screen assembled in London last night to attend the BAFTAS 2019. The ceremony celebrates the leading talent in film and the winners and nominees alike bring their A-game to the red carpet. Here we asked stylists to pick their favourite styles... The Duchess of Cambridge Just stunning. Kate has wonderful hair and always suits a chignon, it’s her go-to style. Her dress is very elegant and simple and her hair is soft, but off her face. It shows off her bone structure and neckline and of course, Princess Diana's earrings! Sharon Malcolm, owner of Sharon Malcolm Hairdressing, Newtownards, Northern Ireland Cate Blanchett https://www.instagram.com/p/BttoZE4h1B2/ Cate Blanchett’s bold colour change seen at this year's BAFTAs is bound to cause a stir among blondes looking for a new update. Cate’s new colour is proof that any skin tone and age can go darker. The key is choosing the right depth and tone to suit. The perfect combination of a dark espresso brunette base with accents of softer chestnut is dark enough to sit on a pale skin without encouraging red tones while delivering the benefits of brunette, achieving shine, vitality and an injection of colour. This shade is perfectly on trend for this year's 1970s inspired warmer hair colours, and offsets the jewel tones in her Christopher Kane gown Issie Churcher, colour director Brooks & Brooks Timothee Chalamet https://www.instagram.com/p/BtthJJThCG9/ Timothee Chalamet was definitely one of the best-dressed men at this year's 2019 BAFTA Awards and his cool and quirky clothing choice looked great teamed with his long, textured locks. Men’s hairstyles are constantly evolving and for 2019 it’s all about these longer in length, grown out hairstyles that are around shoulder length or longer and that are full of texture and require little to no styling. With these hairstyles men can experiment with salt sprays and textuirising sprays to give their hair an effortless and undone, messy look, just like Timothee’s. Jim Shaw, owner of Essensuals Billericay Laura Whitmore https://www.instagram.com/p/BtvHaDzn8Cm/ Another half up half down style, this is the perfect style to show off the neckline of her dress. The middle parting is softened by jewelled slides which keeps it looking modern. The soft waves through the back complement the dress. Sharon Malcolm Lucy Boynton https://www.instagram.com/p/BtuBuFDBnyx/ Lucy is wearing a beautiful but playful tulle dress and her hair complements the textures perfectly. She has revamped her bob and added some texture through the lengths in this half up, half down style. She has taken the hair away from her face but the middle parting makes this a stronger, rather than sugary, look. Sharon Malcolm Lead image via REX Features jobs
