Rainbow room international salons celebrate day of creativity Each year, all twelve Rainbow Room International salons come together for the Rainbow Room International Annual Congress. However, due to the recent pandemic, the past two years have seen the Annual Congress being postponed. Now, with the world starting to open up again, director’s and stylists from all twelve salons were delighted to come together for a Day of Creativity at the Rainbow Room International Academy before the anticipated return of Congress next year. The day started with co-owner’s Alan and Linda Stewart making a short speech, discussing the effects of Covid and business in general. The Graduating Awards then took place, with awards presented to each stylist who had successfully completed their apprenticeships. Further awards were presented to stylists across all salons for categories including Assistant of the Year, Social Image of the Year, Image of the Year, Group Image of the Year and Promotional Video of the Year. Riccardo Corvi, director of the Rainbow Room International salon in Ayr then took to the stage as the compère for the rest of the afternoon. Riccardo introduced each of the individual salons models they had arranged for the day, allowing each team to demonstrate their own creative work and provide inspiration to stylists from within the salon group. Rainbow Room International creativity day Following the salon presentations, an intermission took place whereby all teams were invited to enjoy cocktails, nibbles and large grazing boards and cheeseboards. After the break, the director’s took to the stage and presented their very own surprise award to Rainbow Room International co-owner, Linda Stewart – the Lockdown Hero Award, an award to recognise Linda’s incredible work for the company during the pandemic. The Art Team, led by Rainbow Room International artistic director Suzie McGill, then took to the stage, showcasing a variety of models with looks ranging from long, textured waves to short grungy cuts and volumised curls. Linda Stewart, co-owner of Rainbow Room International with Alan Stewart, commented: “It was fantastic to be able to get all of our Rainbow Room International teams back together again after so much time apart. The atmosphere was electric. Everyone had a fantastic time and left the day feeling inspired and with new knowledge to take back to the salon. It’s been a difficult couple of years but we have continued to grow and succeed as a team – at Rainbow Room International, our strength is in our collective strengths and talent.”
