Kristy hodgson reinvents the classics with enamour

2014 South Australian Hairdresser of the Year, Kristy Hodgson of Jarahs Hair, Berri, has created an eclectic hair fashion collection that draws strongly from the past but weaves in new skills for a modern feel. Inspired by catwalk fashion and philosophies of the Dior, McQueen and Lanvin design houses, the intermingling of the historic with contemporary technique has culminated in new hairstyles. "My new Enamour collection is all about strongly shaped silhouettes with texture," says Kristy. "I see the next couple of seasons of hair fashion moving back to technique, using our skills that guests cannot do well at home.The Enamour collection's spirit muse is a wildcat who purrs not roars - an eclectic mix of traits like the hairstyles she has inspired. "Life is full of unanswered questions and unexpected emotions which I want expressed in this collection. The muse character that I created in my mind's eye has a fiercely feminine feel that leaves you questioning, wanting to know more. Above all, she is her own person who celebrates the creativity of the individual."
