Have you seen these stunning christian dior inspired looks? Christian Dior was the muse for the Central Saint Martin students at the latest Fashion in Motion show. The 20 students were tasked with creating outfits inspired by the legendary Parisian designer to coincide with the Christian Dior Designer of Dreams exhibition taking place at the V&A Museum in London until July 2019. Christian Dior John Gillespie led the L’Oréal Professionnel hair team. He gave the models’ hair a deconstructed texture with mixture of shine and matte-style movement to complement the 20 outfits. He told HJ that he was inspired by the shapes and elegance of the 20th century designer’s work and wanted to create a modern look with some height and movement. Christian Dior The hair was prepped with Tecni.Art Pli and blow-dried. Tecni.Art Full Volume mousse was applied to the roots and the sides were brushed back with a little Tecni.Art Extreme Splash for a smooth sheen. The lengths were tied in a low ponytail. The top section was curled with large tongs and pinned to set. It was pulled back with the fingers and Tecni.Art Transformer Gel was brushed over the ponytail. For the show itself, individual models appeared from stylish grey and cream doors. Each model walked from one end of the room in their elegant and striking Christian Dior-inspired outfit before disappearing through a different door. Christian Dior The student designers from Central Saint Martins BA Fashion Design Womenswear course included: Felix Lefevre, Yini Liao, Moa Arnald, Victoria Valette, Johanna Hehemann, Zixuan Wang, Luca Pawson, Mathilde Schaub, Amon Kale, Gentjana Begu, Arianna Scott, George Kapsimalis, Claudia Gusella, Sofia Turekova, Jerry Wu, Svea Beckedorf, Oroy Makhutmova, Chi Zhang, Shan Nielsen-Talbot, Martina Durikovicova. L’Oréal Professionnelworks closely with the Fashion in Motion shows and arranges the hair teams to style the hair for the shows. The idea behind the shows is to profile young designers and to make catwalk couture accessible to a wider audience.
