What's seen as the 'official wedding season' may be over, but for those winter weddings coming up we caught up with bridal hair and beauty specialist Anna Sorbie for her take on AW16's must have bridal trend; embellishment. Trend: Flowers Seen at: Rodarte A/W16 The style: This type of embellishment translates beautifully in to a bridal style. Instead of copying the look wholeheartedly, be inspired and opt for a floral-effect headpiece, such as The Sophia, a multi-use Hair Vine, with Crystal, Sterling Silver and Freshwater Pearls, which looks beautiful woven through the hair. Pair with: a textured side braid. Wear with: This look is delicately dishevelled, slightly bohemian and uber-romantic, so works perfectly against a vintage camisole style dress, with hints of lace. Trend: Punk Romance As seen at: Alexander McQueen A/W16 The style: Hair Vine in Sterling Silver with Freshwater Pearls. This statement piece is bold, eye-catching and beautiful, just like those seen at the McQueen show. For an even bolder look, pair with a statement comb. Pair with: With such statement pieces, hair should be kept simple. A long loose bob, blow-dried smooth and finished with a light finishing oil is the perfect way to showcase this style of embellishment. Wear with: a fuss-free neckline and simple corset style ensures that all eyes are on the hairpieces. Pair with: Like those seen at Peter Pilotto, this headpiece is multi-functional: it can be worn as a tiara, headband or halo. To recreate this trend, wear as a headband, over a loose vintage wave style. Wear with: This subtly beautiful and simple look goes with almost any style of dress, however as with this type of headpiece most of the detailing is worn at the back of the head, a backless dress or one with lots of intricate detailing down the back works particularly well, and will look amazing as the bride walks down the aisle.
