Vintage-inspired curls by mark leeson   If you're looking for style inspiration, take a look at this hair by HJ's British Hairdresser of the Year, Mark Leeson. "This stunning, sultry look is based on the iconic August 1991 Vogue cover from model, Linda Evangelista," says Mark. "But the style is timeless and perfect for the party season. This style is all about the volume and big bouncy curls that have movement but are still kept under control." "It is the ideal look for those wanting to glam up short, cropped hair that is tapered in the nape, which can be quite limited to alternative styles." Step 1 Starting from the back, curl the hair using large barrel tongs and continue working towards the front of the hair. Work the curls outwards using a centre parting for guidance as this will create more volume and flow with the hairs natural movement. Step 2 Once you get to the fringe and front of the head, curl the hair forward so it falls elegantly around the face. Step 3 Once all the hair is curled, simply tease out with your fingertips to break up the solid barrel curls and create your desired shape. Step 4 Finish with a light textured wax like Goldwell Unlimitor Spray Wax to set the hair in place without weighing it down.
