Marc antoni fleet salon celebrates 20th anniversary The team at Marc Antoni are delighted to be celebrating 20 years since they first opened their Fleet salon, one of four salons within the Marc Antoni Group. Since opening in 2002, the Fleet salon has gone from strength to strength, with the brand building a renowned salon team that have worked backstage and on stage at many of the industries esteemed events, have won a great number of industry awards and that has establishing itself as one of the leading salons within the area with a large and loyal client base. Running the salon as Fleet Salon Director is Marcus Giamattei, current Southern Hairdresser of the Year and a member of the Marc Antoni Artistic – who continue to wave the flag of quality and excellence for the Marc Antoni Group and British hairdressing at events all over the UK, Europe and in China. Working alongside Marcus is Dan Spiller, who manages the Fleet salon and is a highly regarded colour specialist and is the JOICO Colour Ambassador for the UK, EU Ireland. Dan has also won numerous awards over the years for his creativity skills, including British Hairdressing Awards Newcomer of the Year in 2010, The Visionary Award in 2011 at The It List Awards and is also within the Marc Antoni Artistic Team that has won the British Hairdressing Awards Artistic Team of the Year category twice, in 2014 and 2018. Marc Antoni celebrates 20 years on the high street in Fleet The salon, like many others, has seen challenges and changes since they opened in 2002. They have witnessed many changes within the industry and the way things work, in training and in salon services – and of course the Covid-19 pandemic. They managed to ride the storm, with the team working together and bouncing back to bring the same energy to the salon that it has always had. The team plan to celebrate their 20th Anniversary in style by planning 2002 themed days, serving a selection of refreshments to clients, and revealing several additions to their shop front – including an exclusive 20 year anniversary logo. Commenting on the past 20 years and the success of the salon, Marcus said: “Fleet wasn’t an easy place to crack but once the ball got rolling it was great. It took two years of really hard work to get people through the door but all of a sudden it felt like we turned a corner and we were so busy. “Did we think we would be here 20 years? We’ve always gone into things thinking we will be successful and twenty years have gone by so quickly! The only reason I know we’ve been here so long is because when we started I had no white hair! “We couldn’t have done it without our loyal clients, some of which have been with us for the whole 20 year period. I just hope the next 20 years are as good as the last really. It has been a great 20 years, and we can see that because the team members have stayed. If the next 20 are anything, like the last we’ll all be happy.” Dan continued: “I moved from the Bracknell salon to the Fleet salon to become Manager in 2012 and to help Marcus open the salon and get it up and running. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to grow within the company and I enjoyed the challenge it brought me within my career journey. I also loved the Fleet area and the sense of community it had, which made me further excited to join the team there. “Our team at Fleet includes Marcus, Jon and myself; we’ve all been there almost the full 20 years that the salon has and it’s been fantastic to work together all this time and see how far the salon has come over the years. Our customers are everything to us – we wouldn’t have the salon we have in Fleet today without each and every one of them, and we’re thankful that they choose us to look after them and their hair.”
