Westrow House is set to open in the Summer and is set to become a centre of educational excellence in the North of England, boasting dedicated training facilities that will offer hairdressing apprenticeships NVQ Level 2 and 3 alongside bespoke creative and business courses.

Marc Westerman, who with business partner Steve Rowbottom is HJ's 2012 Business Director of the Year, said: "As we have expanded we have developed our business and educational strategy to ensure we are always at the forefront of innovation, which is why we have made the decision to launch the Westrow Academy.

"We currently have a separate training company that delivers NVQ Levels 1-3, with nine assessors within the Westrow group qualified to teach and assess assistants in the workplace and seven more assessors in training. This is alongside private, bespoke education courses delivered direct from the Westrow artistic team and individual hairdressers working alongside manufacturers."

Steve added: "Education is one of the major growths for Westrow and opening our academy means we will be able to deliver NVQ Levels 2 and 3 Diplomas in Hairdressing in an amazing environment. Hairdressing is our passion and the highest standards of training and education are very important and form the core values of our brand.

"We would like to share these same core values with the hairdressing industry at large. Our aim in the future is then to roll out satellite academies, to deliver the same services in other parts of the country as we expand our salon base."
