Hi.  

I'm the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Hair and Beauty Group, which basically means I oversee the content of the Group's magazines and websites, but am also responsible for the commerical side of the business too which includes HJ, HJi, Salon International, Health and Beauty Salon, the British Hairdressing Awards, the British Hairdressing Business Awards and the great supplement programme that HJ brings to you each year . Anyway, enough of all that, let me tell you what it is that I love about the hairdressing industry. It never ceases to amaze me what a huge variety of people hairdressing attracts, and it's you guys that make it a fun and exciting place to work and socialise. I strongly believe if you work hard you should play hard too, and I love the social side of my job. Not one for going to bed early at events - I can normally be found on the dance floor, particularly if Take That or Earth, Wind and Fire happens to be playing! My other passions in life are my twin boys, George and Charlie, who are now eight years old and have a huge opinion about how much time Mummy spends at work and how often she changes her hair colour (which let me tell you is quite a lot, although I will always be a blonde of some sort because, of course, we do have more fun!). Clothes shopping is a common theme in the office - and I confess to having an obsession (some may say obsessive compulsive disorder) about shoes, boots and handbags. What makes me squeal? Those with bigoted opinions of the hairdressing industry, spiders and fish, in no particular order, and I am sure that I can think of more.........
