Daniel galvin named as hairdressing council patron of honour Daniel Galvin Named as Hairdressing Council Patron of Honour Daniel Galvin has been named as a patron of honour by the Hairdressing Council. He is only the second hairdresser in history to achieve this prestigious title, joining the late, great Vidal Sassoon. Daniel received the award in recognition of his lifelong dedication to education and, more recently, his tremendous support for the Council's campaign to get hairdressers state registered. Making the presentation on the night were Hairdressing Council president, Arthur Ehoff, and registrar, Sally Styles. Creative director of Daniel Galvin, Lino Carbosiero, was also on hand to pay tribute to his boss and reflect on the importance of spreading the message of state registration amongst clients. Accepting his award, Daniel said: "When I first opened my salon, getting the right staff was the most important thing to me - they had to be great. With great staff come great clients, and a great business. I feel exactly the same today, which is why state registration is such an important subject to me. "Thank you for this award - I will treasure it for the rest of my life and, I promise, I won't let you down."
