Hair lamination: the latest sleek hair service your clients will be asking about Brow lamination has rapidly taken over in the beauty industry, with the trend encouraging fuller and thicker eyebrows, now the hair industry has its own version of the treatment trend with a service called hair lamination as coined by Sisters Beauty Lounge in Dubai.

What is hair lamination?

The salon claims the service is a revolutionary addition to hairdressing, as it leaves previously dry and limp hair intensely shiny and healthy, creating a finish like the glass hair trend from a couple of years ago, where the hair was sharply cut and had a dazzling shine. If it catches on, hair lamination will be the latest term for the new super sleek hair trend for 2020. While the treatment is very new and hasn’t yet reached the UK shores yet glossy hair isn’t exactly a new trend. Just this year, for awards season a plethora of celebrities have walked the red carpet with a high shine finish. Kerry Washington, Saoirse Ronan and Winnie Harlow were all spotted with the look at the 2020 Golden Globes. It’s the latest iteration of the supermodel high gloss 2000s finish.

Can hair lamination work on damaged hair?

Sisters Beauty Lounge say the treatment is the perfect solution for damaged hair, as it creates a protective layer around each hair strand, covering and smoothing all roughness in its structure. The layer makes the hair look healthier and boosts volume.

How does it work?

The in-salon treatment is applied to the exterior of your clients hair at the backwash after the hair has been shampooed and conditioned. It is a mask that is left to sink into the hair follicles and then to be washed off. The lamination is only activated when heat from a blow-dryer is applied. The salon claims the treatment takes just 8 seconds to work.

The benefits of hair lamination:

- Each hair strand is protected against straightening and environmental aggressors. - Hair lamination helps preserve hair colour. - It helps strengthen the hair by forming a collagen coating. The salon says you should advise your clients to come back every month or so to repeat the treatment. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7aPFPwDs1J/
